Final arc character development. Sure, why not?
Nothing’s wrong with it, unless you hold off on a character’s full development until the very end. You couldn’t sprinkle Shoji’s past and feelings on heteromorph discrimination throughout the series, Horikoshi? No? You just wanna dump it all at the end for drama? Ugh! Between this and the manga flying to the end of the series, My Hero Academia’s pacing could be its biggest flaw.
What else is there to say? Nothing of worth happened this chapter. Spinner and Present Mic approaching and calling for Kurogiri/Shirakumo was the only thing worth talking about. I thought Kurogiri would be in control, but who knows? No way is the series ending without both Shigaraki and Deku fighting each other at 100%. For that to happen, Shiggy’s gotta escape U.A. Either it’s happening with or without Kurogiri’s help. At this point, I’m starting not to care at all.
So…seeing the hospital staff (humans and heteromorphs) holding hands in support of each other is enough to end the riot? Damn it, Horikoshi! I knew you’d botch the landing. No, no, no. I should be positive. There may be more to this scene that’s revealed next chapter. Still, I’m keeping my expectations as low as Spinner’s current I.Q.
This was an annoying chapter! I’m annoyed at Shoji and Koji’s last second development. Annoyed at the possible weak ending to this formally engrossing arc. Annoyed, Spinner is mindless instead of the plot making him a mental as well as physical antagonist to Shoji, all just to make the young hero look better. I hope I’ll eat my words next chapter. If not, then I’m finding somebody else to go bowling with, Hori-sensei.

You know? I’m not even really upset. Having them see the Heteromorph’s and Human doctors hand in hand like that- “Kid Friendly,” but about what we could hope for. Hopefully it’s just “Hand Wave-y” and not “Tone Deaf.” All in all; his best bet was probably to wrap this up as soon as possible.
Dumping the character development for 2 members of the main cast at the 11th hour of the story? HE DID NOT CARE ABOUT THESE 2- You can’t convince me otherwise. I honestly thought that the “Collapse Of Society” would lead to some of the kids leaving. That probably would have lead to Shoji and Koda coming back just for this conflict, but that would have been a Good enough twist.
It’s gonna be Shirakumo that wins out, and he’ll send Spinner somewhere else, and allow the Heroes to go to other battle fields and “even things out.” That is definitely what I think will happen.

The concept of UA students leaving U.A. after everything went to hell is very cool. A shame Horikoshi didn’t address it.
Interesting thought about Shirakumo. My only problem is it’s a bit too advantageous for the heroes. And there’s Chekov’s Voice Activation when AFO told Spinner to use Shigaraki or his voice. That’s gonna come into play at some point.

Right! Considering how important characters like Sero or Koda or Shoji and Ojiro ended up being; I would have thought he’d written a lot of them out of the story- like he did to Death Arms.
Yeah; it might work out a bit too well for the Heroes. But considering how well the last war worked out for All For One; I think they’re due for an “Advantageous Victory.” Though you’re right; it’s a bit to convenient for them- and they DO have to pay off that plot point.
