Six Vegapunks?! Well, seven if you count its original body. And it’s probably an older body at that. I don’t see OG Vegapunk being less than 50 years old. That’s probably another reason he split himself up besides the lack of proper help.

I wonder what Punk-01, Shaka The Good wants with the Straw Hats? Could it have something to do with Luffy’s Gear 5? Oda has stated Vegapunk’s an expert on devil fruits. They could know the whole truth about Luffy’s uber duper devil fruit. And maybe “hire” the new Emperor and his crew to help the genius scientist in exchange for all his devil fruit knowledge. Or at least, offer info on the location of the final Ponegliff? I can’t wait to see where this goes!

Light Pressure Gloves. My foreshadow senses are tingling! Maybe Franky will use that tech to upgrade the Thousand Sunny to withstand laser fire. Or allow a Straw Hat crewmember to fight Admiral Kizaru. The possibilities are almost endless.

Dr. Vegapunk, I presume?

Yes, and no. Is that a Vegapunk? Yes. Is it THE Vegapunk? Maybe. Okay, look. There’re tons of ways this can go. From the female Vegapunk being an android controlled by the real Vegapunk to a clone of the doctor. From what little we know of the genius scientist, he’s a master of robotics, genetics, and devil fruits. Basically, what she, he, or they can do is limited only to Oda’s imagination. And we all know Oda’s got that in spades.

• Evil Empire? Check!
• Palpatine? Check!
• Death Star? Check!

The World Government owns Uranus! Okay, we don’t know if it was officially Uranus that destroyed Lulusia, but come on! It was Uranus. If destroying an entire island isn’t a clue, I don’t know what is. Scary, huh? I wondered what the World Government would do when backed into a corner. What their trump card could be? Well, we know now. If the promise of “peace” can’t keep the countries in line, then fear will do the job. Fear of this battle station ancient weapon. We really are in the endgame, Y’all.

How the hell did Sabo learn about Im? He’s one of the biggest kept secrets by the WG. Was he protecting Vivi from him? Did Im kill King Cobra? In any case, Sabo had to die after learning something as huge as that. …Of course, he’s not really dead, mind you. I wonder what Sabo will do now? The Revolutionary side plot is getting real juicy. Gimme more, Oda!

Blackbeard’s in the chapter. Instant 10 out of 10.

Well hello there, Blackbeard! How’s you and you’re 3.996 billion berri bounty? Geez, that’s high! Almost like you’re gonna be the final antagonist or something. So, why did Blackbeard kidnap Koby? Or did Koby go with Blackbeard willingly? Maybe the plucky naval officer wanted to speak with ex-admiral Kuzan? Hmm…

Why does Blackbeard want Hancock’s power? Does he want to give it to a member of his crew? Or, is it simply too broken a power for anyone not on his team to wield? I’d say it’s the second reason. Can’t have instant KO devil fruits like that putting Teech’s plans at risk. Basically, Boa Hancock is a liability who had to be taken off the board.

And, what’s the current pirate empress gonna do now? Where will she go? I guess she could find Luffy or someone who might know where he is. Maybe she’ll track down a member of the Straw Hat Fleet. That would be a fun way to bring them back into the story.

Alert! Alert! Bounty chapter has arrived!

Ah, yes, I love bounty chapters. It’s always nice seeing how dangerous the World Government considers the Straw Hats. Although, it’s weird Chopper’s considered a “senior officer” but still has a joke bounty. Heh. Senior Officers. I love seeing the crew referred to as that. So cool!

Not gonna comment on all the bounties, just the ones I find interesting, such as Franky not getting a bounty picture (It’s a picture of the Thousand Sunny instead.). That can’t be just a one-off joke. Something more’s going on here. Could it have something to do with Vegapunk? Or Franky’s parents? Hmm…

Whelp. At least it’s over.

What the fork, Oda?! Yamato isn’t joining the Straw Hats? Then why has the story heavily implied he is? That’s bullshit and you know it. It was a done deal and you just have Yamato do an 180 on the Wano arc’s last chapter? Maybe if he had a satisfying reason to stay but just because Oden traveled Wano first he’s gonna too? Bleh! Total failure, Oda-sensei.

Now, what I did like about the chapter was Momonosuke and Luffy’s goodbye. It’s so heartwarming! A good sendoff to both Momo and Kin’emon who’ve been with the Straw Hats for years in our time. Perfect.

Sir Crocodile and Mihawk better get clown daddy his money.

Or not. No doubt Crocodile and Mihawk are using Buggy for their own ends. Why should they take all the heat from the Navy when they can pretend to follow Buggy the Meat Shield? There may even be more to it than that, but we’ll have to wait and see.

You could say Buggy’s Cross Guild placing bounties on Navy personnel is a pimp move. Buggy actively going against the Navy, and by extension the World Government, in the current revolution climate definitely helped earn his Emperor status along with filling his crew with powerhouses. The Clown Prince of Sea Crime’s a fool, but he’s ain’t stupid.

Caribou’s still a creep. Doesn’t he know “snitches get haki stitches”? So, are we all in agreement Blackbeard’s the “certain someone” Caribou’s talking about? It sure as hell ain’t Shanks or A Pimp Named Buggy. And no one else is worth Oda being so vague about it, so that’s that. Not to mention, Blackbeard has Whitebeard’s quake-quake powers. Knocking down Wano’s rocky barrier and stealing the ancient weapon shouldn’t pose a problem. Now that I think about, if the Blackbeard Pirates are truly the Anti-Straw Hats, they’ll need a formable ship to compete with the Thousand Sunny. Guess that’s where Pluton comes in!

One Piece Film: Red, the prequel comic.

Sure, it’s awesome seeing Shanks call Admiral Aramaki on his iHaki, but this was a clear promo for the upcoming One Piece movie. Shanks basically did two important things:

1.) Declare he’s serious about finding One Piece

2.) Force Aramaki to leave Wano.

The first could’ve happened from anywhere in the world. The second reason? Well, Aramaki’s reasoning was Luffy’s still recovering from his fight against Kaido and is currently easy to kill. All Oda had to do was have Luffy (and Zoro) blast some Supreme King Haki at the a-hole admiral and that’d be enough for him to think twice and call off his attack. No fuss, no muss. Yep, Oda was definitely throwing the new movie a Brook sized bone.

Glad seeing Momonosuke protect Wano. Aramaki will put the dragon’s resistance in his report. No doubt making the World Government less likely to attack the isolated country.

Well, Oda said we’re headed for the endgame. He’s not joking.

Sabo, the Flame Emperor of the Revolutionaries. Nice. Countries are breaking free from World Government rule, causing quite the crisis for those in charge. Where could this lead? What will the Elder Stars do when backed into a corner? Nothing good, I’ll tell you that! Hmm… Maybe this is where Vegapunk and whatever weapons/devil fruits he cooked up come in?

Sabo killed Cobra Commander—erm—King Cobra? No way! My guess is Im’s forces (the Holy Knights?) tried capturing Vivi, and Cobra got caught in the crossfire. Sabo probably saved Vivi, and she’s lying low with the Revolutionaries. And thank goodness Kuma was saved! I wonder if Jewelry Bonney’s hanging with Team Sabo too? That could be her overall role in the series, helping the Revolutionaries take down the World Government. No telling how old she really is. Bonney may have some intel essential to destroying the current establishment.

Let’s get this party started!

3 billion berries. Luffy, Law, and Kid are all wanted for that amount after defeating Kaido and Big Mom. I thought Luffy would have the highest bounty, but the Elder Stars made him an Emperor, probably under the pretense of Monkey D. heading the alliance. Smart move. Wow! I can’t believe Luffy’s an Emperor now. Remember when a 100 million berri bounty was a huge deal? Congratulations, Monkey D.! I’m so happy to be a One Piece fan!

What about Zoro and Sanji? What’s their current bounties? I don’t see them getting anything less than 1 billion each. Maybe Killer hits 1 billion too. The rest of the Straw Hats will naturally receive higher bounties but I don’t see any of them hitting 1 billion. As for Yamato, he’s getting a wanted poster, no doubt.

Kaido and Big Mom. Where are they? Well, the Big Mom Pirates most likely recovered their fallen captain, but Kaido wasn’t among the Animal Kingdom Pirates at Udon, so I’m assuming the Big Bad Dragon Daddy’s with Big Mom’s crew. Probably best he’s off Wano. If anyone got word he’s still there, the entire country would try to finish him off. Still, I’m interested in what his and Big Mom’s reaction will be learning they lost their Emperor status.
