Them, of course, being the Five Elders. They’re on Egghead Island to stop Dr. Vegapunk’s transmission from going full TMZ on their whole operation. And, maybe kill Monkey D. Luffy in the process. But that’s a bonus.

Flying/Dark Type, Saint Mars, found York The Greedy. If anyone knows where and how to stop the transmission it’s her. So, does that mean the World Government’s dirty laundry will remain safely locked up in history’s clothes hamper? Nope! This is the final saga, Y’all. At some point, the world must learn how awful the World Government is. It’s now or never from a narrative point of view. It’s happening!

But, it doesn’t mean York and Mars won’t try stopping the transmission. My guess is Vegapunk Stella, Shaka, and Pythagoras have a few more tricks up their dead sleeves. For example: Is it just a coincidence it’s the three dead Vegapunks broadcasting the message? Could this be happening live … inside Punk Records? Or, is there a back-up message ready to go if this one’s taken down? Basically, I’m expecting a last second twist that guarantees the message gets out.

My theory is Dr. Vegapunk snitches on the Five Elders, backing the World Government into a corner where Uranus (the weapon that instantly destroyed an entire country) is their final option in keeping the masses in check, ala Star War’s Death Star. The Revolutionaries begin making their final plays in response, leading to every country picking a side, then …World War One Piece.

I’m glad it’s been established the Five Elders are immortal. Now, Oda can show us flashbacks featuring them further in the past, including the Void Century. Yes, I think they and King Im are that old. Not exactly that hot of a hot take but it’s safe to say they were there for the creation of the World Government and they’ll be there for the end.

I wonder how much we’ll learn about Sun God Nika on Elbaph? Oda seems to be setting up quite the info-dump concerning him and the Ancient Civilization. I guess he doesn’t want Laugh Tale to be completely bogged down by flashbacks. I get it Oda. No one in the world understands you more than me. Please return my calls!

How the hell is the Thousand Sunny getting back to sea level? I was thinking Dorry and Brogy will catch it but I still think Oda will have it fall on one of the Elder’s head. No way he can pass up a scene like that. Or … Giant Luffy will catch it, then bash it over an Elder’s head. Yuk! Yuk! Yuk!

I’m not quite sure if Dorry and Brogy will later sacrifice themselves to save the Straw Hat Crew. Especially, with the Ancient Robot now up and about. If anyone’s sacrificing themself it’s gonna be it. Heck! I bet it’s gonna be revealed the Ancient Robot was trying to specifically take down the Five Elders and/or Im during its rampage in Mary Geoise two-hundred years ago. Either that, or it took a wrong turn on it’s way to Voltron’s birthday party.

This was a good chapter! It’s nice seeing the plot moving at a healthy pace given there’s less than ten minutes before Vegapunk spills the history beans. I will say the art seemed a bit sketchy here and there, but that’s a minor quibble to an otherwise fun read. Hey?! Kizaru? You seem pretty down about murdering your friend. Know what you need? A vacation! I hear the weather in Lulusia’s great this yea— Oh! Never mind.
