Deku wants to stick it to da man.
Time to test out the ramming quirks at Shigaraki theory. And, guess what? It worked! I guess opening up Shiggy’s vulnerable side also opened up his memories to Deku, who in turn, has his memories revealed to Shiggy resulting in a psychological feedback loop wherein the cranial synapses fluctuate at a non-parallel counter-clockwise — WHAT THE HELL AM I TALKING ABOUT?!

Look. At the end of the day, it’s all just shonen manga bullsh*t. Just go with it.
So, we’re to assume the Gearshift quirk/Kudo is “dead”. I wonder who’s next? Probably Bruce, the Third One For All user. Place your bet now, kids.
That’s it. It was mostly a fighty-fight chapter. Now use this extra time to go outside and play. Or, take out the trash. I’m sure your room could use some dusting. Alright, let’s wrap it up.
This was a good chapter. It felt short but it’s moving the plot along at a faster pace than I thought it would. Seriously. I was expecting ten more chapters of back-and-forth fighty-fight fluff but this series may just come to an end in less than twenty chapters. Hmm, I wonder what series I should pick up next? Boruto? …HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! Ah, man. Who knew a moment of insanity could be so hilarious?

Less than 20 chapters…………. sounds reasonable. I don’t know the fate of Deku, Tenko, or the other past holders, but I’m dead set on Tomura dying here. Whether he takes Tenko down with him or not is up to Izuku. I certainly think they’re going to split before this is over, especially since Horikoshi brought back the Finger Defense mode to remind us his body is still mutating, and Izuku pulling Tenko “out of the darkness” that is Tomura Shigaraki would make for a neat visual.
I always forget how JACKED Izuku is; seeing him go in for that punch, I almost forgot who was fighting.
Their memories are mixing together now- they’re reliving key events in their lives. I GENUINELY can’t say what’s happening right now or WHY, but I think this might be implying the Tomura Shigaraki and Izuku Midoriya are about to die.
There’s this one theory my brother told me about a long time ago, about why are memories flash before our eyes right before we die. One idea was that it’s our minds looking for a “hint” to escape the Life or Death Situation- something we learned in the past might be able to help us. But the OTHER idea was that it’s something like “backing up data” for “Cloud Storage-” that………..WHATEVER is after death, all of our memories like putting data in cloud storage. Maybe that’s what’s happening here, but with their quirks.
The more Deku hammers away at Tenko’s containment ball- the closer Tomura comes to death. But Izuku- for SEVERAL reasons- is close to death Himself. So HIS “data” is being “backed up” and stored in “The Cloud-” ONE FOR ALL. But for Tomura; it might just be the other thing I mentioned: Him trying to find a way out of this. One will continue to live on as a Vestige, while the Vestige given “Purpose” DIES. Something like that, I would guess. Though that’s assuming that Horikoshi is even thinking in terms of something like that.
I’m still sticking with the idea that this is going to be a “soft reset” for One For All- something to make Tenko stand on even ground with everyone so he doesn’t feel “overpowered” in whatever sequel series they have cooking.
I even thought about the “Numbers” series you talked about back when Vigilantes was still going: “TENko-” the TENTH user of One For All. And maybe even All For One’s “TENTH” attempt at a new body, like you said.
As for why they’re mixing together; maybe it’s something like what All For One did to Tomura: A Merging of the Vestiges through Force. But I doubt that it’ll stick.

I’m not sold on the idea of Deku dying. For me, it’d leave a bad taste in my mouth. I want MHA to end on a more positive note.
Interesting theories on why people’s life flash before their eyes in dire situations. That got the writer part of my brain buzzing.
Tenko becoming the TENth OFA User is possible, but it doesn’t have to happen immediately. Mostly because I’m hoping the series ends in a way it’s easy to see Deku and friends’ journey continue in movies or even a sequel series, if Horikoshi decides he ever wants to do it.

That WOULD be welcomed to see; them NOT in school and acting as Pro heroes. I always felt that the series could show something like that. With everything that’s happened, I honestly didn’t think they’d show them as adults anymore.
Especially with the battle damage they’ve been dealt this time around. This series has thus far shown that- aside from Tomura’s Hyper Regen- there’s no “Injury Go Away” insta-heal thing. Recovery Girl can just speed up the process; Horikoshi’s shown that Ilda still had to do physical therapy after Stain stabbed him in the arm(that hand crunching thing in a few chapters after that). So even………… THOUGH they’ll all live after this; characters like Bakugo, Endeavor, Touya, and Hawks are going to have PERMANENT repercussions for pushing themselves this far.
Honestly, in my mind; I find Tenko being the 10th user as something of a “Full Circle” moment- the type of moment that calls back to the beginning of the series in so many ways. No one ever gave Tenko the “You Too Can Be A Hero” speech he got, so I think Izuku telling him that, and giving him the same chance that he got would be a perfect way to conclude the Penultimate chapter.
I also think that him choosing to give up One For All would call back to All Might’s alternative to being a hero: He suggested in Chapter 1 that Izuku should be a police officer if he still wanted to help people. Giving up One For All to let Tenko “grow into” the power, and then choosing to be a Policeman at the end sounds somewhat perfect. That- and HIS injuries probably aren’t…………… wait; he’s not actually THAT banged up right now, is he? Compared to his first battle with Muscular, I actually don’t think he’s that injured.
My hero is the type of series where everyone is the main character of a different story; I think a good way to continue the series would be an anthology series that loosely connects- maybe a few one shots about the characters of Class 1A as Pro Heroes with several crossovers. And then maybe just some flashbacks to the previous generation’s youth- like showing that first All Might/All For One battle. Things of that nature.
Though I suppose Izuku taking Tenko under his wing, training him for a full 10 years so he’ll be ready to handle One For All would be cool, too; seeing him build up the power more so it’ll be at its strongest for Tenko while also getting to see him acting as a Pro- that wouldn’t be bad, either.
Man, the more I think about it, the more I’m realizing how much of a “Content Goldmine” this series really is; it has all the potential to go on GENUINELY longer than series like One Piece, Baki The Grappler, Hajime No Ippo, and Detective Conan, just by it’s own nature!
