So much for the Buster Call. Not that it was much of a threat in the first place against the Straw Hats. It couldn’t stop them at Enies Lobby and it sure won’t two years later with them being stronger.
Jewelry Bonney has total control of the Kuma Pacifistas. Wow! Talk about a huge advantage…for now. And, look. Bonney now knows Luffy is the rumored Sun God Nika. What does that mean for their relationship? At the very least they’re friends for life. I’m still not sure if Bonney will join the Straw Hat Alliance or the Revolutionaries, but I seriously doubt this arc is the last we see of her.
Quick side note: Does Bonney have top priority over S-Bear? I could see her taking care of him going forward. But, that leaves the question of what happens to the other Seraphim. Hmm…
It’s the Giant Pirates! Talk about a surprise! And it looks like Dorry and Brogy are there for Luffy. Why? It’s gotta be for more than just helping. I assume whatever the reason is will lead the Straw Hats to Elbaf.
The Ancient Robot is waking up! And seemingly because it senses Sun God Nika. As if Saturn and Kizaru don’t already have enough on their plate with General Bonney leading the Pacifista Army and Luffy back at full power. Those two are in serious trouble!
Just kidding! They’re not. Remember, Kizaru and Saturn aren’t the only threats still on Egghead. You think York The Greedy’s gonna sit by and do nothing? If she gets control of the Seraphim, things could quickly shift in Saturn’s direction. Hell, I think the reason we haven’t seen Zoro’s fight against Lucci is because something unexpected will happen to mess Zoro up. Let’s be real, Y’all. Things are going too well for the Straw Hats at the moment. Shonen Law dictates the odds must be against them up until the climax. It ain’t over yet.
And I didn’t even mention Saturn himself stepping up. The guy has barely done anything with his mysterious devil fruit except “paralyze” Team Sanji and regenerate from every ounce of damage done to him. He’s still at full power! Plus, assuming the old bastard’s in his man-beast form, his beast form has yet to be revealed. This party has barely started. The nachos are still warm. Tell your parents or babysitter you’re gonna be late because the ruckus has barely begun; and the DJ is only on her fourth song. Drop. That. Bass. Oda!
Oh. And Dr. Vegapunk got stabbed.
This was a good chapter! I love seeing Oda setup the good guys having a big advantage before the other shoe drops. Plus, the art was really good. Will Vegapunk survive? Guess it’s all up to Chopper. Although, Franky could turn him into a cyborg. If it’s good enough for Dr. Gero, it’s good enough for Dr. Vegapunk.

Bonney having “Top Priority” with S Bear? That’s not a bad idea! Though I’m now wondering: Is S-Bear capable of defying orders like OG Kuma? Since he’s ALSO a Buccaneer? Maybe that’s part of why CP 0 had to bring him back at the beginning of the arc; they said they were having “Technical Difficulties” with him and giving him orders, yeah? Maybe he’s able to defy orders, too!
Okay, now she has a fleet of Pacifista’s at her back. If she brings all of these Pacifista with her, then she’ll become a Grand Fleet member for sure. But if she can’t bring them along, then- either Straw hat or Revolutionary again. Because a Cyborg army would make the Straw hat’s too strong to ever have problems again. And it would be a question of how they would even travel with all those Cyborgs with them constantly. But if they were to- say- end up exploding on Egghead, then it’s back to the Main 2 ideas for Bonney.
Although if she DOES take the Pacifista with her and ends up a Grand Fleet member, then I think Throne War will see her pulling up like Sentomaru did at Marineford. Either way, she’s going to be backing Luffy right to the end.
Man, we are just cutting these Vegapunk’s DOWN, huh. If I were a betting man, I’d say the only 2 Vegapunk’s to come out of this arc alive would be Lilith and York- because they’re Sexy Women. It’ll likely only BE 2 Vegapunks to have one working for the World Government, and one on the side of the Pirates. Because once BIG NEWS MORGANS reveals what Vegapunk just told Bonney- Luffy’s stocks will go UP, and the world is going to start backing him going into Throne War. I mean; they would be, anyway, but now they’ll all be aware of it.
You think Shanks sent Dorry and Broggy to come and get Luffy? Maybe he plans to ally with Luffy to take out Blackbeard, and then swipe the Road Poneglyph etchings from him after that.

I’ll surprised if the Pacifistas make it out of Egghead. I think something will happen to them. They’re just so expendable to me.
The Seraphim, on the other hand, I can see making it but I don’t know whose side they’ll end up on. Team Stella or Team York.
I forgot about the comments made about S-Bear but S-Snake defied her programming by helping Luffy because she loves him like Boa. If she can do it, so can S-Bear.
I’m still not sure whether Stella will survive but I agree the women won’t die at least. I’m still hoping York joins BB.
I don’t see Shanks teaming up with Luffy. They’re following their own paths. It’s a shot in the dark, but my guess is Dorry and Broggy want Luffy because of some reason that has to do with Elbaf and not Shanks. I doubt Shanks is even on Elbaf at the moment.

I had heard a theory once that the “Certain Pirate” Shanks wanted to talk to the Gorosei about was Buggy- to make him an Emperor. He knew Luffy would beat Big Mom and Kaido, so he wanted to set up Buggy to 1)Make sure he didn’t have too much of a challenge going for One Piece, but also 2)Because he knows he can use Buggy- trick him into allying with him and getting his strong subordinates at least(The Impel Down Escapees), and similarly allying with Luffy so they can join 3-to-1 against Blackbeard. Since Shanks seems to be extremely wary of Teech.
But I suppose it WOULD be too early for that; the feels like a “Final Battle For The Throne” type of thing when it comes time to fight over the seat. Whether that be the Throne of “Pirate King” or literal Empty Throne- or possibly even BOTH as some speculate- it feels like it’ll ultimately be between Luffy, Imu, and Teech. But Shanks might be there, too, just to keep Teech out of Luffy vs Imu.
Yeah, Shanks might have left Elbaf after defeating Kidd; maybe he got the last Poneglyph etching and just took the 3 Kidd got from the Straw Hat’s and Law(A copy of Big Mom’s; The one from Zoa; and Kaido’s). Meaning now he can just blitz em all and take One Piece for himself. But I think he’ll still try to take out Blackbeard first.
It’d be interesting for York to end up with Blackbeard; I imagine they’d comply with his demands after he takes “The Ingenious Dr Vegapunk” to Hachinosu. I wonder what he’s after trying to get BACK into the World Government’s graces THIS time. Access to Mariojoa, and thus- The Empty Throne? How would Imu handle that without letting the “Big Secret” slip?

I don’t believe that Shanks/Buggy theory at all. That’s a bit too much for Shanks to do. Besides, I’m less interested in what Shanks talked to the Five Elders about than the fact they let him talk to them at Marijoa. Shanks supposed Celestial Dragon heritage is gonna be a interesting flashback.
Are you saying you think Shanks has all four Red Poneglyph copies? Interesting. I don’t think Shanks is reaching Laugh Tale. Luffy? Yes. Blackbeard? Yes. The only reason I can see Shanks making it there is to lose to Blackbeard to make Luffy’s fight against him more personal.
I don’t see the WG trusting Blackbeard anymore. York is too valuable for BB to give up. A genius like her would be an essential asset to his plans. But, maybe he can have his cake and eat it too.
