Psychological crack is wack, Y’all.
Shigaraki, after getting a taste of One For All, now wants more. But this OFA addict hasn’t realized Team Deku actually wants him to overdose on that good quirk stuff. That’s basically the plan. Kudou, the Second OFA User, wants to “throw” himself at Shigaraki’s mind space. Specifically, toward the mental crack in his hateful head. That could eventually lead to the crack opening enough for Shigaraki to have a glorified psychological meltdown. Weaponizing trauma, huh? Sounds like my ex-partner. Wait does that mean I was the Shigaraki in that relationship?
Anyway, for Kudou’s insane plan to work, his spirit, along with his quirk, must be flung hard enough at the ashy Shigaraki for it to be destroyed on impact. Thus, denying Shiggy the use of Gearshift. Yikes! If successful, could this lead to Deku losing all of his bonus quirks? It all makes me wonder what will become of OFA by the end of the series, especially if Yoichi dive bombs Shigaraki. Who knows what will happen to the base OFA quirk if he goes. Heck, if he represents OFA itself, then he could end up being the only User spirit left.
We got a new Deku mode! Say hello to Blackwhip Deku or, as I like to call him, as an homage to Dragon Ball Super, Deku Black. It’s Deku filling his body with Blackwhip energy instead of manifesting it as whips. Scary! Let’s hope he’s less annoying than Emo Dark Deku.
This was a good chapter! The battle’s going in a direction I never considered and I’m curious as to what happens next. Let’s just hope Shigaraki doesn’t stop Kudo’s attack then snorts Gearshift like he did Danger Sense. Just Say No to quirks, kids. Because No-ing is half the battle! ♫My He-roooo!♫

Deku’s proficiency with Black Whips makes me think back to when he first unlocked the quirk- when he was still new to this. Seeing what he’s able to do with it now, I wonder if he’s ever stopped to think about how he’s grown with this power he was in such a hurry to “make his own.”
I hear people talking about his the “Black Whip” state he just took was a reference to Carnage from the Spider Man comics. I don’t know if it’s Carnage SPECIFICALLY or to the Symbiote’s as a whole, but I LIKE IT!! Especially with how Deku looks more like a Villain, and Tomura is depicted with a “Butterfly” motif(Nana’s speech to Izuku in chapter 305); “A Hero has to become a Villain to save a little boy from a Villain that looks like the Hero.”
I talk about it in my recent review that Tomura might be Tenko’s “Protector-” his “Decay” quirks will is to protect his holder from the world that allowed All For One to take him and use him like that- the world that facilitated Tomura’s birth. In that way; I guess Tomura would be Tenko’s “Hero.”
Though that’s assuming that Horikoshi’s goal is for Tenko and Tomura to be separated. It certainly FEELS like that’s where he’s trying to take it, but I can’t say for sure with this series anymore.

I heard about the Symbiote comparison and it makes sense given Horikoshi’s love of Spider-man. I don’t have a problem with it either way and it makes me more interested in what’s to come.
Interesting takes on Deku and Shiggy. I don’t think I’ll dive deep into Shigaraki’s motivations given how I think he’s a dead man, but Horikoshi may surprise me again. I really hope MHA can somehow end on a good note, even though I’m not too optimistic it can.
