King Nefeltari Cobra fed us hungry One Piece nerds well this chapter. No Void Century information, of course (probably get that on Laugh Tale), but we get a little more info about the formation of the World Government 800 years ago. My question is: Why is Cobra Commander bringing this up now? Sure, there’s definitely something fishy going on given what he knows about the beginnings of the WG, but what’s motivating him to confront the Elder Stars? Could his declining health put him in a do or die mental state in regards to learning the truth before dying? Could Monkey D. Luffy’s actions be another? Hmm…
Here’s another question: Who are the Elder Stars? If the 19 Celestial Dragon families are supposed to be equal, aren’t having five CDs ruling the World Government a direct violation of that rule? That is IF they’re Celestial Dragons at all. The Elder Stars’ backstory must be linked to very formation of the World Government. I wonder if we’ll at least get more on their origin during the flashback. Especially, with Saint Saturn on his way to Egghead.
Imu. Why did he/she/they reveal themself to King Cobra? I’m guessing they either wanted to answer Cobra’s question or command his execution. Maybe a bit of both. Let’s be real. Either Imu IS Lily Nefeltari or they had her killed. I’m leaning more toward the having her killed theory. Buuuut, it would make sense if Imu’s a member of the first 20 kings who formed the World Government so I can’t rule out them being a Nefeltari, Lily or otherwise.
Safe to say, Dabi Emperor Sabo will show up when Cobra’s murdered and see Imu. Interesting that Imu confronting Cobra personally will possibly lead to the entire world learning of their existence. Their secret Twitter account’s about to blow up!
Two members of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet attacked a Celestial Karen Dragon. First Luffy, now them. I wonder if the CDs will send some Holy Knights after Sai and Leo? That’s a good way to introduce some named members of that group.
This was a good chapter! All hell’s breaking loose at the Reverie and I’m loving every second. The One Piece world is changing so fast due to all these big events; I can barely keep up. I better read the chapter again just in case I missed something… Justin Bieber is Saint Saturn’s grandson! I can’t believe I missed that! Damn, Oda. You’re on fire, my friend.

How apathetic do you think Imu is right now? He’s CERTAINLY one of those Kings, meaning he’s seen one Revolution after another- one Nefertari after another- SOMEONE always standing to oppose him. And CLEARLY- They’ve all failed and were never spoken of again. Why should he care now?
Then again- he had those 4 pictures; Luffy and Shirahoshi are REALLY obvious problems; Teech seems to be some sort of dilema that he’s probably only dealt with the 1 other time(Wonder where God Valley went?); but he’s focused on Lili’s family right now. And I think that’s what’s gonna make him lose.
You don’t think the Grand Fleet is on the way to Egghead, too, do you? Specifically Sai and the Happo Navy- Leo in toe? I wonder if the 3 of them will get the chance to punch a Gorosei this time!! Oh man, the bounties that will come of THAT. Heck, would Kizaru even have a JOB after letting that happen?
Imu is probably gonna answer Cobra’s questions- if for nothing more than his past relationship with Lili. THEN HE’S DEAD. He may have been expecting to die in this room already, but THIS- Seeing THIS has sealed his fate. Seeing that, I would have been like “……………….. I’m not leaving this castle, am I?”
I hope Sabo hurries; he’s gonna miss the Answers to the Important Questions!!

I still don’t get why Imu thinks Vivi is a threat. Maybe it’s his/her Observation Haki where they see Vivi as a potential future threat. In any case, Imu revealing themself to Cobra seems personal on some level.
The Grand Fleet helping out at Egghead makes sense but how would they know the Straw Hats are there and need their help? The only way I can think of is someone learning of the Navy’s plan somehow.
Imu is concerned about 4 people. Blackbeard was always a threat. Then we have Shirahoshi who now hates the CDs. Next, Vivi whose father is killed by the WG. And finally, Luffy who bases a lot of his actions on helping his friends. Learning the dark truth about the WG along with how they treated his friends will mobilize Luffy against them too. Just pointing that out.
