I guess Buggy’s Cross Guild really is becoming a Warlord crew.
Cross Guild needs heavy hitters if it wants to compete against Shanks, Blackbeard, and Luffy’s crews’ in reaching Laugh Tale first. Not to say Buggy, Sir Crocodile and Mihawk aren’t already a powerful “team” but Oda’s seems to be setting up all the major pirates to be in the race for One Piece, either still in the running or failing to achieve it. Gecko Moria’s given. He’s got nowhere else to go. I was hesitant about Boa Hancock joining but if Crocodile wants to establish a nation where they’re safe from the World Government then I can see the Snake Princess joining for that reason. Edward Weevil’s a wildcard. Especially since he’s been captured by the Navy, but who knows? If he escapes his travels could lead him to Cross Guild.
It’s interesting learning how much Buggy respected Shanks. So much he was disgusted by Shanks not following in Roger’s footsteps even though he had the potential to do so. I love seeing Buggy reaching for the ultimate prize now that he considers himself on Shanks’ level. Buggy’s a coward but he’s a greedy coward. And sometimes that greed overrides fear. This chapter is a perfect example.
Sabo’s about to possibly tell Dragon and Ivankov about King Im. That’s huge! The Revolutionary Army has found their previously unknown prime target. The one person they absolutely must defeat to bring down the entire World Government. The RA’s actions moving forward will be critical to the future of their organization as well as the world itself.
This was a great chapter! Once again things are moving towards the series’ conclusion. I’d like to take the time to give a shoutout to the recently dead Vice Admiral T-Bone. Given what we know about his personality, I’m sure he willingly sacrificed his life so the starving people of Pepe Kingdom can eat. Of course, you could’ve started a GoFundMe instead of dying but hindsight is 20/20 I guess. I dedicate these spicy nachos to you. Mmm!

You think Croc and Mihwak gained even an Iota of respect for Buggy making this move? Like, they KNOW HIM, and they know it would have taken much to get him to not do this, but…….. He DID it, and now they’re off to get One Piece? THAT TOOK STONES. Gotta respect it.
More Warlord’s joining Cross Guild? Weevil may; Moriah CERTAINLY if he gets the chance; but Hancock would sooner join the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. Heck, that’s actually entirely possible. Either way, she probably won’t join an enemy crew to the Straw Hats. And- knowing how she is from their time in the Warlords- Croc and Mihawk wouldn’t trust her ANYWAY. Then again, it’s not like Crocodile can keep Mihawk from acting out his whims, either.
Iva and Dragon Learning about Imu is gonna put the 2 of them at the top of the Governments Hit list. Dragon was already the World’s most wanted man, but his Bounty is about to SPIKE. Like, those impoverished Nations that are more than willing to follow with Cross Guild’s lead- THEY COMING FRO DRAGON NOW, TOO. And I doubt Dragon Will blame them for going for a potential Double or TRIPLE Digit Billion Berry Bounty. Seriously, that would be a huge one.
After admitting all of this, I wonder how Buggy will feel going into the next confrontation with Shanks. HE WON’T WIN, but maybe he’ll be able to bluff his way into making it LOOK as though her won! Though, as evident with KIDD- he’s no longer in “Party Mode.” HE’S GOING FOR THAT TREASURE- Eneru help anyone who’s in his path.

Ah! Never considered Hancock joining the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. I love it! We need at least one huge name on that team and Boa could be it.
Nice seeing the war between the RA and World Government ramp up. It’s now do or die for both sides. Oda is just bringing it all together slowly but surely. I’m impressed he’s able to juggle so much, even at the expense of Egghead Arc.
