Ow! That’s some harsh character whiplash!
Gigantomachia. One of All For One’s most loyal henchmen is now attacking the Overlord of Evil, by choice! What the fish?!
I get it. It’s a thin line between love and hate. Sure, but according to the chapter, Giganto’s pissed because after waiting so long for his return, All For One let the big brute get captured by the heroes while he escaped inside Tomura’s body. That was enough to make the obsessed giant treasurer of the Fu*k All For One Club? …Yeah, I can see it happening but the fact that it happens at the BEST POSSIBLE TIME in the series for the heroes sours the moment. It’s just too convenient.
Big props to Mt. Lady for giving it her all this final arc. Unlike Gigantomachia, her character arc from a fame hunting hero to a seasoned, selfless hero shown throughout the series is remarkable. Bravo, Mt. Lady!
The press. They’re broadcasting All For One and Shigaraki’s eventual defeat to the world. Guess it’s too late for any international heroes to show up. Captain Celebrity. Skycrawler. I guess it’s really goodbye to the chance of you helping taking down the biggest bads in the series. But, hey! At least you can get a cameo. Oh? What’s this? A two-page spread featuring people outside Japan! Oh, my! Movie characters! Well, I’m sure Horikoshi will include Koichi… Um, Captain Celebrity? Makoto? Oh! Is that Captain Celebrity’s HQ in that cityscape panel? …No.

F*ck you, Horikoshi!
Screw this chapter! Yeah, I’m bitter and biased. What did you expect when the perfect opportunity for Horikoshi to throw My Hero Vigilantes a bone in the main series amounts to a big ole sack o’ nothing. I can’t believe freakin’ movie character get more love than Koichi! Oh, I’ve got so much to say about this travesty of bad taste and prequel ignorance so buckle up for my 2,000 word essay— What? No! Don’t leave yet! I have charts and graphs! Angry Reddit quotes! Mint chocolate chip cookies! Noooo!

I have to say: I’m LOVING All For One’s “Crown Jewels” betraying him like this. His “Successor” and most loyal pet have now betrayed him- one actively trying to crushify him and one calling him “Lame.” Man, this must be the worst case scenario for him!
My primary concern is why we haven’t gotten any hints as to Deku’s dad at some point. You mean he’s not even watching his son’s Biggest Moment? Like you said: MOVIE characters(the 3rd one not even being that good) get more shine than some of these others! I don’t know what his dad’s doing- I don’t know what Koichi and Cpt Celebrity are doing- but at this point I feel like Horikoshi has an obligation to show them all off.

I was just thinking about Deku’s dad this week! Looks like he might be no more than a minor character. A shame.
Maybe….just maybe Horikoshi didn’t show Koichi and Capt. C. because they’re on their way to Japan. Other than that, I’m baffled to why they weren’t included.

I guess we just gotta keep playing the “Waiting Game.” But I’d rather wait for something cool than just have him DUMP them on us in some lame fashion. I’d rather see them do something cool when they come in than just have them for the sake of it.
