Kid says the darndest things.
Captain Kid really thinks he can beat Red-Hair Shanks. Guess it makes sense given he’s fresh off his win against Big Mom. Shonen rules are in full effect. If Luffy gets stronger after every big fight, then so does Kid. Problem is if he and his Kid Pirates crew are strong enough to take down The Red-Haired Pirates AND the Giant Warrior Pirates, plus some other pirate crews loyal to Shanks. That’s one heck of a lop-sided battle. Makes me think something unexpected will happen. No way is this battle playing out in a straight-forward matter. Admirals? Blackbeard’s Titanic Captains who aren’t attacking Law? Rocks D. Xebec? Rihanna? There’s no telling who’s gonna show up at Elbaph!
Interesting tidbit about Benn Beckman cutting off Kid’s arm and not Shanks like I thought. Of course, Kid wouldn’t have been strong enough to even get to Shanks back then. I only wish it wasn’t Benn but the monkey, Monster, who stomped Kid back then. Oh, the disrespect that could’ve been.
Luffy freed Lucci and Kaku. This is gonna be interesting. Since I doubt they’ll become friends with the Straw Hats, I can see CP0 getting taken down by Egghead’s main antagonist in a show of power. And, yes, I still think it’s Punk Records itself. I think it leaked information about the Vegapunks researching Ponegliffs in order to get them killed so it’d be the only Vegapunk. Like Highlander…but for nerds.
S-Hawks has the Dice-Dice fruit’s power. You know what? All the Seraphim’s powers make sense. There’s nothing crazy about it. The Hancock clone has her power. The Kuma clone has the originals’. Jimbe’s clone (who’s a fish-man) has the Swim-Swim’s power. And, Baby Mihawk has Daz Bones’ power. Good on you, Vegapunks. Have a Jelly Baby.
This was a good chapter! I thought the traitor would be revealed but Oda sent us to Elbaph. I can live with that. The war for all four Road Ponegliffs is in full effect. Heck, I’m throwing my hat into the pool. I’ve already got a crew: Rihanna, Dolly Parton, Jimmy Carr, and Alton Mason. I’m still trying to recruit Patti LuPone but it turns out she was apart of Roger’s crew back in the day and wants to stay in musical theater.

Egghead is turning out to be longer then I was expecting a Post Wano Arc to be. AND I’M NOT COMPLAINING, ’cause this is pretty cool! Like they said” The Seraphim need to take direct orders- no orders can be taken over comms. So if it IS Punk Records itself, then it has a body to move around in- one with the same level of Authority as Vegapunk. Atlas, Pythagoras, and Edison are certainly Machines, so they must have some spare parts or even a Spare Body lying around somewhere!
That means that they’ll be fighting an ISLAND this time!! Perfect for someone as destructive as Luffy; just let him Gear 5th the whole island to nothingness- send it the was of God Valley and that one island I can’t remember!
KID WILL DIE. No, but seriously; he’s gonna get his @$$ kicked. And he- having the same “Indomitable Spirit” that those who possess the King’s Ambition have- will might just find a way to overcome the limit. THAT- or he’ll get beat into the dirt so bad, and his beloved crew will end up in such trouble that he has to actually PLEAD with Shanks to let them go. From there…….. Let’s see if he has the same “Pick me Up” that Luffy got when Ace died. Maybe that’s what these Yonko Battles are for Law and Kid: Facing an Emperor’s full weight by themselves and seeing how well they can stand up to before reality smacks the sense back into them.
Law’s battle will show that he- through his time in his alliance with Luffy- can stand that “Weight,” while Kid- refusing to make any more alliances with anyone after what happened with Apoo, based on what he said in chapter 950- LOSES OUTRIGHT. I can only hope that we get to see even SOME of the fight, like we have with Law.

Fighting Egghead Island itself? Well… the top of it does look like a mouth with jagged teeth. You might be on to something. Especially mentioning Punk Records/a Vegapunk traitor could have multiple bodies like Ultron. Interesting.
Still not sure what Oda has in store for Kid. It’s such a one-sided battle between Kid and Shanks’ crew plus Giants. I’m more excited to what happens there than with Law since I’m thinking Law’s fight will be more straight forward (Law losing).
