Just who is the mysterious ally of the Vegapunks?
I doubt it’s a pirate (Why would a pirate be “chased from their home”?). It’s gotta be someone powerful who’s friends with Team Vegapunk. Hmm… Maybe a giant from Elbaph? A warrior there would be a big help. Plus, Elbaph, an island not a part of the World Government, would be a great place for the Las Vegas to hide. Then there’s Saul and the last Road Ponegliff probably on the giants’ homeland and, well…as they say… All Roads Lead To Elbaph.
Kid arrived at Elbaph first. Interesting. The Straw Hats not being the only pirate crew getting all four Road Ponegliffs could be fun. A race to Laugh Tale? I like it!
Vice Admiral Garp’s gonna confront Blackbeard. Uh-oh! Is that death flags I see? Can Monkey D. Garp rescue Captain Koby from who could very well be Luffy’s final pirate antagonist? Sure, he can! I don’t see Koby dying. But will Garp have to sacrifice himself to do it? Hmm…? And how does former Navy admiral and current member of Blackbeard’s crew Kuzan fit into the equation? Kuzan VS Garp incoming? Forget death flags. I see nothing but drama flags rising. Break out the Pepto Bismol because things are gonna get spicy!
Oh! And since Garp doesn’t have a devil fruit, could Blackbeard bust out his zoan fruit? He’s gotta have one by now, right? Poor Garp! Hope your life insurance is paid.
Could one of Vegapunks be a traitor? Someone turned off the Frontier Dome. Hard to say who it could be at this point, but if I had to pick, I’d say it’s…Pythagoras. Only because he could be lying about not seeing anyone in the control room.
Zoro VS Kaku: Part II. Sure. That is until Lucci orders S-Hawk to attack. Let’s be real. If Luffy dunked on Lucci, there’s no way Zoro can’t dunk on Kaku. S-Hawk has to engage just to give Zoro a challenge. And a welcomed one at that from Zoro’s perspective, I assume. A chance to test his swordsmanship against a clone of Mihawk sounds right up Zoro’s alley. Does that mean we’re getting Brook VS Kaku? I hope so!
Why can’t Dr. Vegapunk fix Kuma? Is he talking about not fixing Kuma physically or mentally? Well, even if Dr. V doesn’t think he can’t restore Kuma’s mind, there’s certainly a piece of his old self still in there. Really interested in what fate has in store for Kuma.
This was a good chapter! I’m excited to see where things go for not only the Straw Hats but for the Vegapunks, Kuma Family, Kid Pirates, and Team Garp. Holy crap! This could be one of the last arcs we see the Straw Hats battling the World Government directly! Seriously, what’s next after CP0 and Admiral Kizaru? Fleet Admiral Sakazuki? Sabo might take him down. The Five Elders then? Im? I guess there’s Commander-in-Chief Kong. He could bring in his friend Mario and, together, super smash anyone who gets in their way.

Yeah, S-Hawk will be a better challenge for Zoro at this point. Brook vs Kaku? Well, that would definitely be cool- Brook fighting an Enemy Zoro fought 2 years ago would be a nice way to show how far he’s come.
Kid will be on Elbaf; Saul will be there; potentially the last Road Poneglyph. I feel like Blackbeard will also be there, but you’ve got me thinking something else. I kind of feel like Elbaf will be the last BIG arc- the last 20-30 chapter arc- before we get into the REAL Final part of the story. But you’ve got me thinking that it won’t be that long.
Thinking about it; Luffy vs Kid would be cool to see, especially since Kid is so gung-ho to take down an Emperor. He saw first hand what Shanks can do; he helped widdle down Kaido’s health; he and Law teamed up on Big Mom; he doesn’t seem to give to sh!ts about Buggy; all that’s left is the New Emperor Monkey D Luffy.
I wouldn’t call Kid an “Antagonist-” he probably won’t even be the main fight that Luffy has in that arc. But it’ll be cool to see how much of a “Gap” there is between an Emperor Class Luffy and his Pirate Rivals from the Worst Generations.
Meanwhile; BEEHIVE would be going on. And the ramification of that arc could be BIG. Especially if Teech plans to cash in on the new Marine bounties. I imagine that Garp’s would be pretty high.
Vegapunks Ally? You got me there. A traitor amongst the Vegapunks? The traitor thing seems to be EVERYWHERE right now- My Hero, Black Clover, Four Knights Of The Apocalypse, and probably more manga I’ve yet to read. It’s just something I’ve noticed getting into anime/ manga more over the years.

I never considered Blackbeard going to Elbaf. Makes me wonder if Blackbeard VS Luffy: Round 1 could happen there. Oda loves having Luffy’s biggest opponents win so he can make a comeback later. Hmm…
Luffy VS Kid? Not sure if that will happen. It would be interesting if Shanks fought Kid but there’s NO way Shanks is losing.
Hmm… The Navy losing Garp and Kizaru getting beaten would be a huge blow to the organization. Whether or not it happens, I can tell Oda is shifting events to make Revolutionaries VS World Government happen which could lead to Team Luffy (The SHs, SH Fleets, and allied countries) joining the fight on some level (mostly after learning the FULL history).
Yeah, having a traitor is a trope. Heck, One Piece used it with Nami way back during the Arlong Arc. It’s almost as expected as a female manga character having pink hair.
I still can’t get over how well Oda’s handling the final saga so far. Sure, I have some issue here and there, but I’m just as invested in the series as I was 10 years ago.

Glad you’re liking the series more now! Post Time Skip One Piece has had its Highs and Lows(especially where the Anime is concerned), so I’m glad every is remembering what they loved about the story.
You’re right; this isn’t even the first time this series has used the Traitor idea! Not even just Nami; you have Wano and Kanjuro or Punk Hazard and Vergo. Huh…….
Losing 2 heavy hitters like that to Yonko WOULD make the World Government look bad wouldn’t it? ESPECIALLY losing an Admiral to the Newbie Emperor Luffy. Though it would help out his street cred more. Maybe a bounty increase incoming again?
Oh yeah; Shanks would END Kid- it would probably be by accident because he’s drunk and “isn’t good at holding back drunk” or something. I mostly said Luffy vs Kid because I want Luffy to fight at least 1 of the Supernovas before the series ends. They’re his rivals for the Throne of Pirate King, and I always enjoy a good “Rival Battle.”
Luffy vs Blackbeard 1 on Elbaf? Actually, that’s not a bad idea, considering everything that’s going on. With Van Auger’s Warp fruit, he could be there and back between Hachinosu in an instant! I just hope Elbaf- and arc even more Foreshadowed than Wano- doesn’t end up LIKE Wano, you know what I mean?

Don’t get me started on the anime. I’m still annoyed they didn’t stop it for at least one year after it hit the time skip just so it wouldn’t be too close to the manga. Now, they just don’t care and seems fans are liking it despite it’s horrible pacing. But even I’ll watch certain scenes on YouTube or watch an episode with fingers on the 10 sec skip button.
There’s no way the Straw Hats bounties don’t increase after this arc. This will be the arc making it clear The Straw Hats are a Yonko crew without any doubt.
Elbaf… I hope it’s better than Wano. If it’s not as long as Wano, it already wins.

I don’t think any arc going forward will be as long as Wano. But I do believe Elbaf will be on the longer end- like 50 or so chapters…….. maybe 40.
