When I’m With My Friends, I’m Never A Clone [My Hero Academia 376]

Kurogiri’s getting the band back together.

Team Gunga Mountain’s in deep doo-doo. All For One, Dabi, and Toga/Twice, that’s quite the party. Here’s an idea AFO: Kill every hero there except Endeavor. Leave him for Dabi THEN head for Tomura. Yeah, you’re on a time limit, but that won’t matter if Deku’s backup is dead.

Also, how come you never took a copy of Kurogiri’s warp quirk for yourself? Seriously? It’s one of the best quirks you can have. I think I found a plothole, Y’All. Don’t tell Horikoshi!

In Japan, all girls not in love are villains
Where’s my epic Star Wars-ish color spread, Horikoshi?

Toga’s going all out with her Twice clones. Dabi’s going all out with this family drama (and fire). Will Endeavor kill his own son? Probably not. I don’t think Horikoshi will go that dark. But then again, I had thought Gigantomachia wouldn’t plow through several cities. Toya VS Enji ends with a double KO? Maybe. You live by the daddy issues; you die by the daddy issues.

How will the Gunga heroes survive? Skycrawler, of course! No, no. I should stop getting my hopes up. If Hawks can stall AFO, and Endeavor fights Dabi, then Team Uravity can figure out a way to neutralize Toga. Can the clones exist if Toga’s knocked out? It was never said otherwise. Maybe the heroes will have to kill Toga. …Nah! That’s not happening. Just offer her the starring role in a Disney Channel sitcom and everything will work itself out.

Since when can Hawks hold his own against AFO? Hacker!

This was a decent chapter! I still don’t know where Horikoshi’s going with all this. Will the Tartarus escapees get a battle? Will international heroes show up? What about Mr. Compress, Gigantomachia, and Re-Destro? Geez! This arc is messy. Wish I had a bleach quirk to clean it up. No, not Bleach manga! Last thing we need is Deku’s dad revealed to be a Quincy.

I don’t think knocking her out will stop it. But if it DOES, then they have enough Mud to snuff out the flames- that’s 2 birds at once!
I don’t know if it’s just me or what, but something feels off about All For One right now. Between All For Tomura saying “If it weren’t for this or that” and the original REACTING to Hawks’ taunt; it feels like there’s some sort of kink in his “Master Plan” that’s only now making itself known to him. And that “kink” is going to be the difference between Victory- and Defeat.
Endeavor and Dabi going out at the same time? Possible. But it doesn’t seem like Endeavor will let himself die to make up for that sin of his; as everyone keeps saying about Endeavor: “Death is The Easy Way Out.”
I kind of want him to live, but I feel like he won’t quite being a Hero if he does. It feels like he still has to atone, and nothing- not even the Dying Touya Todoroki before him- is going to let him stop.
He shoulda BEEN had a copy of “Warp Gate,” right?! Don’t know what he was thinking not getting that- or Twice’s quirk- but clearly he could be using them right now and the Heroes would be in a corner.

I agree there’s something off about AFO. I don’t know if it’s because he seems weaker or if the heroes are taking him seriously so he can’t one-shot them. Maybe there’s more to it like you said.

I agree that things are looking terrible for the heroes and this arc is a mess. So far there hasn’t been much death and I think that will change. I don’t think Endeavor will die unless he’s sacrificing himself for someone. I want see some more international heroes (I loved Star and Stripe) but will he have time. Maybe a spinoff series with the international heroes?

Another My Hero spin-off would be fun. There’s so much of the world that can be explored.

As for hero deaths, I don’t care one way or the other as long as the story is good but I don’t think it is. Or at the very least, things are always happening but I’m not as investeed as I feel I should be. It’s the final arc but I don’t really care. There’s something wrong here. Maybe it’s me, maybe it’s Horikoshi but I don’t think the series itself was ready to end. Like we went from A, B, C, and D to G, H, K. M, N and then Y, and Z.

Yeah. Toriko was the same, if I remember right. I wasn’t crazy about The Promised Neverland’s ending, but it wasn’t awful. I HATED Hitman Reborn’s ending. I can’t remember a Shonen Jump series ending I loved within the last 10 years.

At least there’s One Piece. If anyone can stick the landing, it’s Oda.

Hmm… I guess I liked Dr. Stone’s ending. Not love but enjoyable for what is was.
