That’s right, kids. Everyone’s favorite Fire/Ghost Pokemon is continuing its journey to the basement to blow up the armory along with all of Onigashima! How will Yamato and Fuga stop it? No idea, but I’m really interested in where Oda’s taking this living time bomb sub-plot.
Zoro’s new sword, Enma, seems to be upset at Sanji getting a power-up chapter. Time for it to show why it’s such a powerful weapon. How? Um…maybe it eats fire? I don’t know. Oda’s really got me up against the wall this chapter. I pride myself on coming up with good-ish theories, but Oda’s really letting his imagination fly the last several chapters and I frankly can’t keep up with his originality. CP0 VS Scratchmen Apoo + X Drake? No way I could’ve guessed that was how Brook and Robin escape the government assassins. I may want Wano to end as quickly as possible, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t enjoying the ride.
And guess what? Komurasaki AKA Hiyori’s back in the spotlight. We knew she was on Onigashima, but what’s her plan? By the looks of it, she’s going after Orochi. Or is it they? Is Hiyori causing a distraction for someone else to cut down the evil shogun? Denjiro? Where’s he at? Maybe he’s providing the assist here? Who knows. Oda’s been surprising me so much the last several chapters I expect Sabo popping out from behind Hiyori and punching Orochi in the face.
This was a good chapter! Fire ghost, fire dinosaur, and a palace on fire. Safe to say, this was one hot chapter. Hm? I wonder why CP0 attacked X Drake? This must know he’s a Navy secret agent. Well, the World Government and Navy aren’t always on the same page so I guess that’s it. Well, that and CP0 are assholes. I mean seriously, wearing suits to a pirate rave? If that’s not a clear sign you’re a dipstick, I don’t know what is.

I honestly don’t know where he’s gonna take this Kazenbo plot, either. On the one hand; I feel like he REALLY wants to draw a MASSIVE EXPLOSION panel. It also serves to be the Nail in the current Wano’s coffin before the Kozuki club rebuilds it.
On the other; ANYONE surviving an explosion of Magnitude Yamato’s building up would be Oda doing a Parody of himself- about the idea that “No One Dies In ‘One Piece.'” I don’t care HOW MUCH plot armor or “luck” Luffy has- THIS SHOULD KILL HIM, if it goes off.
One Piece has managed to use so many concepts that- if anyone else tried it- it might feel forced and Jarring. But Oda’s managed to craft a world where the fights going on right now will always make sense. “Government Agents with years of training vs A DJ that come become any instrument and a Dinosaur Spy man- MAKES TOTAL SENSE.”

I willing to disagree with Oda on many a thing, but one thing I’ll give him respect for his world building. He made the One Piece world his way and it follows his rules, whether it makes sense or not to me. That said, I’ll still call him out on it if it doesn’t make sense to me.
Will Onigashima blow up? I want to say yes, but you’re right on the implications of soooo many surviving that. Again, I have no idea how this will play out.
