Tsukauchi De-fun’d the Police [My Hero Vigilantes 96]

You went about this all wrong. All you had to do was work with Soga and the guys and you’d be stronger for it. Yeah, yeah, I get it. The police station was attacked and Detective Tanuma was seriously hurt. You know it wasn’t The Crawler but you’re scared that the bomber and Koichi’s clash will put innocent civilians in danger. So…just hire some heroes to protect the hospital! That won’t stop The Crawler but at least they’d be pro heroes ready to assist.

Yep, so Tsukauchi’s got the speedy hero Ingenium hot on The Crawler’s heels. The same Ingenium who befriended Koichi many many chapters ago. Oops! Don’t get me wrong. I’m sure Ingenium will try to do his job, but I think he’s also interested in getting Koichi’s side of the story. Not to mention, I’d be cool seeing how fast Koichi can travel compared to Mr. Arm Rockets. My guess is The Crawler will leave him in the dust.

Aizawa. Ingenium. Is Fat Gum also on Tsukauchi’s squad? I certainly hope so! Having all of The Crawler’s hero friends showing up one last time would be quite a sight to see. Especially, if it’s to stop whatever plan No. 6 initiates to get to Pop Step. My guess is a lot of Bomber Creatures or some army of monsters fresh out of Ujiko’s lab attacking. It’s the last arc, baby. Let’s go out with a bang!

Did you see Koichi air hopping over to the next building like it was nothing? Let me repeat that. Koichi air hopped over to the next building like it was NOTHING. It was barely an afterthought! That’s how much he’s improved since saving Pop. Wow! Aerial maneuverability was Koichi’s final hurtle and it looks like he’s mastering it in record time. That’s my boy!

Hmm… I wonder if Koichi’s dad is someone important in the My Hero Universe? Like a Hero Safety Commission employee or something like that. Now that I think about it, it does seem strange we don’t know anything about him or even seen his face. I don’t think Papa Crawler’s a hero himself (If that was the case, Koichi would know just how powerful his quirk is from the start), but I’ve got no clue what his job could be.

And what’s under that tarp in the empty room? Someone on a forum I visit thinks it could be another device to distract No. 6. You know, like that speaker Knuckleduster played on the roof against No. 6. It was a long recorded message playing at super speed used to make No. 6 waste energy trying to listen to it. Could that be the edge Koichi will have to defeat No. 6 or, maybe, No. 6 on Trigger?

Oh, yeah. Did I ever mention I think No. 6 will end up using the Trigger drug to try to defeat The Crawler? The drug was such an important plot point at the begining of the series I can see it book ended with No. 6 using it in a bout of rage.

This was a good chapter. We’re getting more of Koichi’s hero pals back into the story, and I’m loving it. I can see Koichi escaping and hiding out at Hoppers for a while and getting a pep talk from his Naruhata buds. Just don’t try the chili, Koichi. That stuff will send you running to the bathroom at speeds that rival The Flash on a coffee binge.
