Hoodie’s just too strong. Gonna need Mr. Big Guns with the big buns to take him down.
It’s Hoodie talk time. O’Clock suggests he has a souped up version of cellular propagation, which is kinda funny because that’s close to what I first thought Re-Destro’s quirk was. Anyway, it looks like Doctor Ujiko modified Hoodie so much his original fighting style doesn’t work. In the end, the bad doctor and All For One only care about power for their Nomu soldiers. Technique need not apply.
Um… There’s not really much else to say about the chapter itself since it was mostly fighty-fight/runny-run. But, I will like to touch upon a couple things. One, I don’t see All Might fighting Hoodie. If he does then Hoodie’s going down, hard, and going straight to Tartarus. We know that’s not happening so it’s safe to say Kurogiri will warp Hoodie outta there the second they see All Might arrive.
Next, I want to talk about why I think this flashback exists. Sure, it’s how O’Clock first learned about AFO’s organization and how dangerous it is. And, it leads to him continuing to track down it’s leader, Mr. Steal Yo Quirk himself. But, maybe there’s more. Maybe he wasn’t doing something as dangerous as taking down AFO alone.
Enter All Might. Is it possible O’Clock and All Might will have a little chat resulting in the speedster hero tracking down the Overlord of Evil for Mr. #1? If AFO is cautious of All Might then it’s up to him to find AFO, but All Might isn’t exactly a detective. And, even if he was it’d be hard finding the time to do so. Hm… Could a possible All Might/O’Clock partnership go even deeper? Was O’Clock the one who gave All Might info on where to find AFO, leading to their first big fight? Gran Torino was there and it’s not like he and All Might fight crime together on a regular basis. Perhaps, O’Clock found AFO’s hideout and gave it to All Might who, in turn, asked Gran Torino if he wanted to help. Well, it’s all a baseless guess now, but I think it’s possible.
This was an okay chapter. It moved the story forward and showed how much of a threat Hoodie was even if he wasn’t a High-End at this point. I’m very curious if All Might and O’Clock end up working together. Hey! Speaking of working together, we still don’t know why Mirko doesn’t like teaming up. So far nothing has happened in the flashback to warrant that opinion. Unless…she stepped in dog poop while racing to the exit. Time to break out the magnifying glass and read the chapter again.

My thought when I read the chapter was that this would lead to their big battle. I honestly didn’t consider how many fights they had before they messed each other up the way they did- I thought they had 1 unseen fight, and the one we saw at Kamino. And I thought it was building to that. But the idea of them not meeting would be a bit of a missed opportunity- even if it doesn’t lead to a big fight.
And what’s wrong with Paul Rudd?!

I think it’s too early for that big battle. Plus, I think their fight wasn’t public knowledge and there’ll be a lot of witnesses if it went down here.
Paul Rudd? All For One’s the guy who has a problem with him, not me. I personally think he’s jealous.

You are right about there being too many witnesses- and that AFO is jealous of Mr Rudd.
