My speculation juices are cooking! So, let’s pull this Vigilantes roast (or veggies if you’re vegan) out the oven and chow down on some high calorie theories.

First things first, I just realized O’Clock and Detective Tanuma has an All Might/Detective Tsukauchi relationship. It was staring me in the face but I never picked up on it! No wonder Tanuma put faith into Soga and the boys protecting Pop. If his old partner trusts them so should he.
We knew O’Clock was good at investigating criminal organizations, but it looks like he also tackled the illegal drug business. Hmm… Was this road leading O’Clock down the path to AFO’s organization? Were they in the illegal drug business back then? It’s not a stretch considering the Villain Factory was giving people illegal versions of the trigger drug at the beginning of the series.

Okay, so this could be the case where O’Clock first catches wind of the Villain Factory. What does that have to do with Pop and the hospital? Could this all be leading to Tanuma finding proof Koichi had nothing to do with Pop’s parasite/drug trip from Hell? Keep in mind, No. 6 shot her with some nasty drug that caused the bees to go out of control. Could whatever bee (pun intended) in her system (the trigger and/or bee drug) bee (HA!) similar to what O’Clock found in the Underground Masquerade case? Or, maybe Tanuma is putting ALL the pieces together and realizing the same group who was creating the Instant Villains before the time skip also did the same to Pop Step?
And, what about the secure ward where Pop is recovering? We now know Takeshi Kuroiwa (AKA Knuckleduster) was prominent in it’s funding. Could there be a secret passage somewhere in case a villain attacks? Maybe something else is hidden there that could help Team Soga out. Hm…
And, then there’s Rappa. I’m already convinced No. 6 is bringing prototype nomu with him to attack the hospital. Could Rappa show up there as a favor to The Ripper? That’d be helpful since it looks like no heroes are guarding the place! Well, no legal heroes at least.

This was a serious curve ball chapter thrown at us outta nowhere but very enjoyable. My Hero Vigilantes has always kept a tight focus on the main plot, even when it looked like that wasn’t the case. This flashback is no different. Whatever’s going to happen will be linked to the present in some big way so keep your eyes open and your thighs hopin’.
Hmm, not the best tagline in the world to end things on, but you get what you paid for.

Rappa is by far one of my favorite characters in the franchise- so seeing him here really popped me.

Nice. And, I’m glad Vigilantes once again expands on the My Hero Universe by showing us underground fighting first mentioned in the main series.
