This was an okay chapter. Oda has so many characters and moves the spotlight around so much it’s hard to savor a specific one when they’re on screen. It’s like the manga is rushing but Oda doesn’t care because the anime will no doubt fill out the scenes. It’s weird. Anyway, see you next time and don’t forgot to Odiak Eht Nioj. DO IT. You know you want to.

Nice move with the backwards message; that was pretty funny when I got it. And yeah; it’s hard to savor a specific moment in chapters like this. And even though I know tht the anime will fill in the gaps; I can’t help but feel that there’s a secondary reason for Oda’s rapid pacing increase.
Luffy vs Ulti was actually pretty impressive in my opinion. And I think watching Nami and co run from Big Mom is pretty funny.

Agreed. While they annoy me, Ulti’s fight with Luffy was nice.
There could be a number of reasons for Oda’s fast pacing. Him wanting the series over with. Some weird guilt over taking breaks. Him wanting to get to the stuff he really wants to show. It’s hard to say.

I very highly doubt that Oda is trying to rush the series to the end; he’s too much of a workaholic for that. But him feeling somewhat “guilty” for the breaks might be a reason. And he does seem a bit “anxious” to show us a few things- based on what he said about having to “hold himself back” from showing us the One Piece in the Oden flashback(sorry to remind you).
