I think Toru Hagakure is the traitor.
Yeah, yeah. I know. She’s been a suspect for years now. Even, Viz’s Official English Translator for the series, Caleb Cook, thinks so.
So, let’s dig deeper and dive into the why and the how. If Toru is indeed the U.A. traitor and is working for All For One and Ujiko (I’m hesitant to believe anyone else knows her true identity.), why would those two put so much trust into her? What could All For One had done to force a sweet child like her into betraying her friends? And, did he pick Invisible Girl as a mole because she’s…well, invisible?
I’m gonna answer all of that with two words: Rokuro Nomura. Those of you who read My Hero Vigilantes know where I’m going with this. For the folks that don’t, Rokuro Nomura is Number 6, an artificial human created by Doctor Ujiko. He works for The Villain Factory which is highly implied to be All For One’s organization. Or, more specifically, the group responsible for giving Ujiko valuable data he used to eventually create the Nomu.
We know Nomura is the sixth version of the Number Series and My Hero Academia: Heroes: Rising features Nine as the main antagonist of that movie. So, where are the others? That’s right, y’all. I think Toru Hagakure is part of the Number Series, an artificial human.

Why hire or blackmail a teenager into helping you when you have the resources to make one? Why jeopardize someone squealing on you to All Might and a school full of heroes when you can simply build a loyal subject from scratch? Being a double agent requires not only the right personality but the right quirk and by simply not being on ANY character’s radar, Toru has proven how valuable an asset she is. She’s no idiot. Even Nezu hasn’t caught wind of her! That takes either dedication or desperation and I’m voting for the former.
Plus, we know how paranoid Ujiko is. He wouldn’t have just anyone with his contact info working for him. He needs someone who wouldn’t, or even couldn’t rat him out. That, my friends, is our dear Number gal Toru.

And, there you have it. Why I think Toru Hagakure is, in fact, part of the Number Series. Does this mean she’s evil through and through? Maybe. One things for sure, she didn’t know beforehand about the Paranormal Liberation Front raid happening currently in the main series, none of the students did. And, by sheer “coincidence”, she’s the only Class A student whose whereabouts aren’t currently known at this point in the operation. Yes, my friends. Invisible Girl is making her move. THIS is the arc where we’ll learn officially where her loyalties lie.
Here’s a hint: It won’t be with the good guys.

You know; I think we overlook that little nugget of information when discussing the traitor theory. I’m glad you brought it up!
