I’ll admit it, I freaked after reading this chapter. How can I not? We’re in the final season of My Hero Vigilantes!

I should’ve known something was up. You know, with how the schoolgirls called The Crawler by his true vigilante name, not The Cruller. How easily Koichi dealt with the two thugs, almost effortlessly. Just how organized he and Pop were dealing with the situation, such a huge difference from the first few chapters. Hm, I wonder if Koichi learned to fly? Nah! He’ll probably learn that in the upcoming arc.
So yeah, we time skipped TWO WHOLE YEARS from the last chapter! Koichi’s gonna graduate college soon and is looking for a full-time job, meaning his days as The Crawler will soon end. Sure, it’s not like he could be a vigilante forever but I’m just not ready for it to end damn it! Well, I shouldn’t panic. This final arc will no doubt last a good while. There’s Koichi’s search for a job, learning what happens to Pop and her idol career and, of course, Knuckleduster. Has that guy been missing for TWO DAMN YEARS?!

And speaking of missing, where the hell is No. 6? And, what’s up with the Villain Factory? Are we at the point in the story where Ujiko created Nomu? Will the bad doctor unleash one in Naruhata? I’ve said it before ending the series with a fight against either No. 6, a Nomu, or both would be fitting seeing as the Villain Factory have been the main bad guys throughout the series. Looks like it just may happen.

A good chapter, but it threw me for a loop. I’m really sad the series is ending. I can’t believe how upset I am. I was ready to drop it a few chapters in when it debuted. Goes to show what happens when you give a series time to develop. Oh, and poor Pop Step. I’m guessing she may be upset because she won’t be hanging out with Koichi much, if at all, anymore. Here’s hoping she becomes a legit idol and makes Koichi her manager. Or, at least, her human segway.

The series is ending……gotta be honest; I don’t “feel it.” It doesn’t give me vibes like the current arc of like “Kimetsu No Yaiba’s” manga, or “The Promised Neverland.” It doesn’t give off the same vibe. And I don’t think it’ll end the way anyone expects it to. That said; I think it’s going to end in a way that ties into the main story. Maybe Koichi is on his way to work when the Sludge villain gets Bakugo. Maybe have him as one of the people in the crowd. That doesn’t need to happen; I just think that’d be a cool thing that happens.

Yeah, the one thing I had to get out my head when first reading it is it’s not a battle shonen. It’s very much a slice-of-life with action. Once I accepted that I begun loving it.
I hope we see Koichi in some way in the main series but I’m betting more Pop Step will cameo as a famous idol and Captain Celebrity may show up if things in Japan get too crazy. I got no doubt he’s meant to be the #1 US hero in the current timeline.
