You’ve Got Mail [One Piece 1101]

Did Kuma figure out that Luffy ate the Nika fruit?

Warlord of the Sea and Professional DILF, Bartholomew Kuma, knows all too well that the Sun God Nika has rubber like abilities. I’m sure he put 2 and 2 together or at least suspected it could be possible. It does explain why, in addition to secretly helping the Revolutionary Army, Kuma also helped Luffy on the down-low whenever he could. Yeah, I’m going with that.

Ah, Oda. Using Kuma’s tragedy to help justify Dragon (mostly) abandoning his son. Now I’m even more interested in who Luffy’s mother is. Was she a Navy officer, Revolutionary, or simply a regular person. Hmm… Perhaps, she was a pirate?!

Ay-yi-yi! Alpha should’ve recruited a team of teenagers with attitude to help her.

The Kumanator [One Piece 1100]

Did Bartholomew Kuma know all along Monkey D. Luffy ate the Nika fruit?

It makes sense the World Government would send their most “loyal” Warlord to investigate. And that would also explain why Kuma helped the Straw Hats several times throughout their journey. Kuma basically put his cybernetic faith in Sun God Nika/Luffy to eventually bring joy to the world. Hmm… Is that why Kuma’s currently flying to Egghead Island? To help Luffy one last time? What a bro!

What a wholesome scene! Wait? Is that Dominoes Pizza? Man, the World Government really is evil.

The Kuma King & I [One Piece 1099]

What’s so special about Buccaneer blood?

If we’re to assume Blackbeard is also a Buccaneer, then my theory is the blood negates devil fruit weaknesses. I’m not sure if Blackbeard can swim, but at the very least I’m guessing Buccaneer blood is why Blackbeard can eat multiple devil fruits without dying.

Staying on the topic of devil fruits, are you wondering why Eiichiro Oda didn’t elaborate on how Bonney obtained a devil fruit? The only reason I can think of is that it has something to do with the very nature of devil fruits and Oda isn’t quite ready to reveal that secret just yet. Put in pin in it, Y’All. It’ll turn up later on the quiz.

Kuma has that same expression every time he steps on one of Bonney’s Legos

How the heck do monarchies work in One Piece? You have the country of Alabasta/Arabasta where rulership is passed down through the Nefertari family, and then you have Sorbet Kingdom where, I don’t know, there’s an election, maybe? The World Government picks their ruler? It’s never mentioned if King Bekori is related to King Bulldog. I’m totally confused on this. Maybe I should run for King of Sorbet Kingdom? Seems like any bozo can get in.

Dad By Daylight [One Piece 1098]

Implied sexual assault? In One Piece?!

Sure, slavery does exists. And we knew the Celestial Dragons can have multiple wives, but this … this hits closer to home when it happens to a named character. Poor Ginny. Kidnapping. Rape. Murder. Slavery. I’ve mentioned before how Oda has made the Celestial Dragons irredeemable. He’s really pushing that there’s no way the CDs can stay in power. They must be overthrown. One Piece cannot end on a happy note otherwise.

If my math is right, Bonney should be around twelve or thirteen years old! That explains Dr. Vegapunk treating her like a little girl. He probably also treated Bonney’s sapphire scales disease. That would explain why Bonney was on Egghead years ago. Dragon most likely asked Vegapunk to help. So… does that mean Papa Kuma willingly let himself become Vegapunk’s pacifista experiment as a way of paying him back for saving Bonney? Hmm…

There’s only one logical reason as to why Oda didn’t finish the art. He started pole dancing at night again.

Where You At? [One Piece 1097]

Maybe she just went to use the bathroom?

No. Ginny is indeed gone. Kidnapped by the looks of a mysterious pair of legs on the last page. But, who? And, why? Dragon said it was an “enemy”. Hmm… I’m gonna go out on a limb and say King Bekori is involved. Maybe he had Ginny kidnapped to make Bartholomew Kuma do whatever he wants. What is that thing? Maybe he figured out Kuma has Buccaneer blood and wants to turn him in for a reward? Yeah, this isn’t my best theory. But, I believe everything will lead back to the Sorbet Kingdom. Kuma ruling the kingdom. His Sorbet Kingdom friends becoming Bonney’s crewmates. One thing’s for sure, we haven’t seen the last of that country.

There’s only one person evil enough to kidnap Ginny. Jimmy Fallon!

The Pawshank Redemption [One Piece 1096]

What the heck are the Rocks and Roger Pirates talking about?

Roger mentioning it being “a whole year”? The Rocks Pirates saying “Final fight” and “Settle it once and for all”? Oh, yes, dear friends. There are huge info chunks Oda’s keeping from us. The question is why? Why is he withholding information about Rocks D. Xebec? My only guess is it having to do with his goals. And by that I mean Laugh Tale.

Wait a minute. Just why did Gol D. Roger want to go to Laugh Tale in the first place? How did he even find out about it? These same questions apply to Rocks. I don’t think we’re getting answers until the Straw Hats either reach Laugh Tale or acquire copies of all four Road Poneglyphs. That and Rocks could still be alive. Him being the only big name pirate to die does seem odd. Quick! Someone check if he recently posted on Instagram.

For a second, I thought St. Garling was Zoro. Time travel in One Piece? Never happening!

The Most Dangerous Celestial Dragon Game [One Piece 1095]

I think Blackbeard’s half D. and half Buccaneer.

I know. I know. That has nothing to do with the chapter but I’m calling it now.

Anyway, St. Saturn is quite the bastard. Well, more than usual. Could his zoan fruit be influencing his personality? Seriously, that guy went from 10 to 100 pretty quickly. And not even Sanji can stand up to him! Don’t go outside at night, Sanji fans. Zoro fans are lurking in the shadows, ready to pounce/debate how, if Zoro was there, Saturn would be dead.

Bartholomew Kuma. We’re finally getting his backstory. Not only do we learn he’s a Buccaneer but he’s also a slave. You know, first I assumed Sun God Nika would be associated with the D’s. Where exactly do they fit into all of this? Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Even as a slave, Ivankov dresses to impress

The Amazing Saturn-Man [One Piece 1094]

What the heck are you, Saturn?

We already knew The Five Elders have devil fruit powers but we didn’t know much of anything else. By the way, the fact that Sabo was able to escape them is nothing short of amazing. So given what we’ve seen this chapter, just what fruit does St. Saturn have? Whatever it is, my guess it’s a mythical zoan-type fruit. Hmm… If human-human fruits exists, what about demon-demon fruits? At the very least, I think it’s a mythical spider fruit. Whatever it is, it’s crazy powerful!

Bonney would’ve did more damage asking Bill Burr to insult Saturn for eight minutes

One Piece Live-Action (Season One Thoughts)

I’ll try to keep this short because most One Piece fans have already watched at least some of OPLA. If you loved it, great! I’m with you. If you hated it, great! Stick with the manga and/or anime.

Seriously, as someone who doesn’t watch the anime on a regular basis due to its slow pacing, I get it. The One Piece manga/anime is created for Japanese boys. One Piece Live-Action is made for a broader audience. It’s also tasked with fitting an entire arc into eight episodes. Entire scenes, characters, and plots had to be cut to make it work. And, I think it does work. It works surprising well. But, yeah, that all depends on someone’s personal opinions about One Piece. So, if you didn’t like the changes or what was cut, I understand why you’re not feeling it.

Captain Crack Head VS Admiral Stoner [One Piece 1093]

Say no to drugs, kids.

Or, yes. It depends on the drug. Illegal drugs aren’t good for you. Aspirin is a legal drug. But don’t smoke it! Anyway, Gear 5 Luffy VS Still Not Fully Serious Admiral Kizaru revs up. Kinda.

Oda seems to be slowly building up the main fight of the arc. Classic shonen stuff. It also signals this arc could last longer than we think. Especially, now that Team Luffy has separated.

Zoro VS Rob Lucci. Zoro fights the second strongest person in an arc. Is that Lucci? At the moment, yes. But, what about the Seraphim? Could Lucci simply be round one? I’m gonna say, yes. As much as Lucci’s improved, I see Oda ending this arc with a weakened Zoro battling the Seraphim, specifically, S-Hawk.
