37 naughty One Piece doujins drawn from this one panel, today.
Holdem’s down for the count and Jack knows. Oopsie! Safe to say Team Luffy Alliance is busted. But, at least they stole the treasure barge so the regular citizens can eat. Wow! That panel with the family about to commit suicide rather than starve was dark. Nice touch Oda. It wasn’t dwelled upon, he just showed how bad things got. Solid storytelling.
Speed’s a joke character. I can live with that. She wasn’t built up to be anything more than that. I still think Hawkins is playing the long game. There’s more going on with him than we’ve seen.
It’s not your fault, Froppy. And if anyone blames you… I’LL KILL THEM!!!
But, before that, the first match crew reviews what they learned. Froppy, of course, has it together more than all of them put together, just sayin’. I’m not a fanboy, damn it!
We also learn that Shinso’s fights are his big test to decide whether or not he’s moving to the hero course. B-but Jinbe Shinso can’t join. He won’t fit through Thousand Sunny’s doors inside the classroom.
I mean, yeah. We all knew it was coming sooner than later. He didn’t exactly look like a tough opponent. But, now we know Jack the Drought is the true ruler of Bakura Town and we may be seeing signs of a future fight between him a Luffy. He’d make a great mid-boss before Kaido.
We learn the wanted thief, Shutemaru, is the leader of a group called the Atamayama Thieves Brigade. Want to bet at least one Strawhat is already apart of it. I’d say Chopper and/or Brook since it’d be hard for them to blend into Wano as a regular citizen.
Points all around! Shinso for knocking Class B off balance by simply being there. Kaminari for letting himself get caught so the others can flank Class B. And, Asui for being the leader I knew she could be! It was a great play.
What’s more to say? Froppy kicked butt and we learn three more Class B students’ hero names: Vine, Gevaudan, and Dragon Shroud.
So what happens next? Will Class B take a win next match? If we go by Law of Shonen #8, Class B will win two matches before the deciding fight against Team Deku. Hmm… I hate to say it. I don’t want to say it! But, I think Team Momo’s losing their match. I’m sorry! I’m so sorry, but I don’t see Bakugou AND Todoroki losing their matches. At least, Team Momo’s fight should be fun, what with that manga guy and mushroom girl.
I was way too hard on you last review. But, I’m glad you got your crap together. Shinso shouldn’t be on the front lines and now it’s time to learn from your mistakes and kick Class B’s butt!
And, shout out to Koda for stepping up. Dude was really brave this chapter. He didn’t need to be told what to do, he just went out there and did his best for the team. He’s really improved, love ya, buddy.
Luffy going Gear 3rd on Urashima. Beautiful! And Holdem and Luffy finally meet. And, there we go, that’s how Holdem’s going to be a threat: By holdem-ing Otama hostage. Hope that fight won’t last too long.
Notice something odd about this government meeting?Roughly 80% of the population in My Hero Academia has a quirk. We know that impacts a person’s future career because, at the very start of the series, All Might suggests to the quirkless Deku he joins the police. This infers either a good chunk of law enforcement don’t have quirks, or, at the very least, have quirks not suited for battle. Okay, you probably knew that. So what’s my point? It’s simple.
The quirkless rule Japan.
I can think of two reasons for this:
1. There’s not much else they can do.
Think about it. Most people with awesome quirks will find jobs where their powers can be utilized. Whether being heroes or construction or what have you (I wonder if entertainers can use their quirks?). At this point, we don’t exactly know which jobs authorize the use of quirks and which don’t. All we know is public quirk use is strictly regulated. Well, on paper anyway. We’ve seen in My Hero Vigilantes that while using your quirk in public is officially against the rules unless you’re inconveniencing others, regular citizens don’t care. Look at The Crawler or Pop Step, those two blatantly use their quirk but you don’t see anyone going narc on them.
A plot inching chapter. Mostly getting characters where they need to be in order for big events to happen. Before that, Bellamy’s a master dyer now? That came out of nowhere. Not sure whether Oda will make it stick or not. Depends on whether we continue his cover story. Doesn’t matter, I can always see him helping out in the world war at the series’ end, even if it’s only a few panels of him defending his dyer friends from whoever.
Gold star to the person who originally named their pairing “All Night”
You telling me you didn’t consider Class B using their most dangerous teammate as bait? She was alone for goodness sake! Well, looks like Shinso pulled your butts out the fire, for now.
Yes, kiddies. As predicted, it’s Class A vs Class B in a 4 v 4 (5) battles. As per shounen rules, Shinso will save the day, securing Class A’s first win then, most likely, lose against Deku. But, it’s all about the journey so it should be fun.
Wait. Wait. Wait! Let’s back it up.
Okay, so, Deku talked to Toshinori about his dream and hand explosion. Toshinori also has no idea what “singularity” the First mentioned means. Could One For All still be mutating? Or, is it just Deku’s genes because he may be related to the First (my crack theory). Either way, put a pin in it because I doubt I’ll come up again soon.
