I feel everyone’s given their thoughts on the Dabi/Toya theory so I’ll keep it brief. Do I think Dabi is secretly Toya? Yes.

Now, here’s the real question: Why hasn’t anyone, especially the Todoroki Family, figured it out yet? Well, here’s what I think.

There’re several answers as to why Dabi’s true identity’s still hidden. His disfigured body, Enji (or Rei) never getting a good look at him up close, but I think the most important reason is Toya’s dead. Okay, maybe I should say presumed dead. We’ve seen the police and government in the series be pretty competent. Learning the location of the League of Villain’s bar as well as most of their true identities, adjusting the provisional license exam to deal with a post-All Might world, and sending Hawks undercover after the League. These people know their stuff, so there has to be a very good reason why no one’s assumed a missing Toya is Dabi. That reason has to be there is no missing Toya, he’s supposed to be dead. What happened? No clue. But, I’m guessing a reason why Dabi was drawn to Stain’s ideals is because of his forgotten hatred of Endeavor.

Wait, we do that all the time. Don gay apparel? Decorating your halls/home? Giving presents? There’s nothing done at Christmas we can’t do all year round. It’s all a lie!

I love it when characters aren’t being stupid for the sake of the plot. The U.A. staff figures out really quick the “requested” work study for students sent down from the Public Safety Commission means there’s crap about to go down. Now, we know Hawks (well, all the heroes technically are supervised under them) reports to the PSC so it’s safe to say the work study is in response to information received from him spying on the Paranormal Liberation Front. But, what exactly does that mean? Is there something specific coming that they know or is it general measures taken out of caution? We don’t know, but it’s a smart move by the PSC. Better to have all hands on deck just in case than sit back and do nothing.

I’m also interested in whether or not Endeavor knows Hawks is a double agent. Hawks did mention a couple chapters ago he needed to report to Endeavor about his findings. Is he feeding the number one hero intel on the sly or did he and the PSC bring him in on their operation? He’s the top hero, after all. I think if at least one other hero knew what’s really going on it should be Endeavor. And, Todoroki, Bakugo, and Deku may all work study under him. Hm. I think I’m starting to see one way this can play out.

Did you catch the new season of Bakugo & Todoroki? It’s really good. I can’t wait to see their hijinks working for Endeavor. Oops! Getting a little ahead of myself.

The U.A. students are back! Bakugo & Todoroki are interviewed after whoopin’ villain butt immediately after getting their provisional licenses. Shouldn’t Deku get an interview for beating down Overhaul? Maybe certain details about the mission are secret. Yeah, I guess I’ll go with that plot hole—erm—excuse.

Mt. Lady. Someone as media obsessed as her is working harder as a legit hero. Good on you. And, not just Mt. Lady. Seems Endeavor’s influence after his High-End fight is reaching far and wide. Heroes overall are gathering more support from the public and the heroes themselves are stepping up. This ain’t All Might’s world anymore. The heroes can’t count on an overpowered super-duper hero saving everyone. It’s time everyone did their part in keeping Japan safe.

Hero Interview Training. Similar to focusing on team-ups when getting their provisional licenses, the students continue to be groomed on current hero expectations. This time is interviewing in order to put the public at ease and show them who they are, both with their words and by demonstrating their powers. It’s another step in keeping public morale high while at the same time learning what other heroes you may end up partnering with can do. A simple yet important training exercise.

All Might’s doing something, Y’all! He’s trying to dig up info on all the past One For All users. That’s a great way to use the character. Good on Horikoshi for doing that.

So, Deku’s got Blackwhip locked down, but now it’s time to train that bad boy. He can at least summon the power but it’s weak. Gee, I wonder who Deku should work-study under to help him control it? A hero in the Top 10, perhaps? Someone Mt. Lady can introduce him to. Someone who uses whip type appendages. I’m talking about Kamui Woods, Y’all. It’s perfect. Deku can learn from another whip type user and we get some interesting developments since Kamui Woods is part of a hero team. We may even get other U.A. students interning under other members. Lots of promise going that route.

“Paranormal Liberation Front” Yeah, I’m not liking that name. Should’ve gone with something cooler like Liberation Squad or The Walt Libsney Company or Red Hot Libby Peppers.

I predicted the events at Deika would set fear of the League of Villains at an all-time high. Nope. Skeptic spun the events calling it an independent act of terrorism where, conveniently, all the terrorists died. He even added some pro-liberation propaganda boosting how Deika citizens defeated the terrorists after the heroes were lured away. Smooth, Skeptic. Real smooth.

Well, the League got their sushi. Dabi hates fish, Y’all! That’s important, I guess. What’s actually important is Toga survived thanks to the now-dead Clone Toga blood transfusion. Such a nice scene watching Twice pay respects to the clone. He understands they’re as real as they are even if created by his power.
