And here I thought most of this chapter would build up Ingenium as this great speedster hero only for The Crawler to shut him down. Nope! Apparently, you aren’t worth the pages, Tensei. Koichi’s speed and vertical mobility are just too much for you to handle now.
That’s right, Y’all. Koichi’s a high-tier quirk user, so only the best heroes have a chance at stopping him. But Detective Tsukauchi wouldn’t send Top 10 heroes to hunt down a simple vigilante with an excellent reputation only trying to help his frien—Oh, wait. Nevermind.
Geez, Tsukauchi! At this point, I’m surprised he hasn’t called All Might to kick Koichi in the junk.
Info Dump Alert! A lot of knowledge got dropped this chapter. Let’s sort through it together, shall we?
First up, what’s up with the 2nd and 3rd Users? Why were they standing away and not talking? Horikoshi is obviously keeping as much info about them from us as possible. I think it’s safe to say their quirks are the final ones Deku gets, as well as they’ll be the last Users we’ll get details on. Again I ask, why? Guilt? Were these two villains or former villains? Members of the Liberation Army along with Destro? I’m really interested in knowing what their deal is.
So, Deku? You’re gonna ask why two predecessors are in Dream World timeout? No? Okay, then.
Oh! And for the record, neither the 2nd or 3rd User’s hair matches AFO’s OG Bodyguard or Oji Harima. So, my Harima’s a OFA User theory is dead, BUT he still could’ve been a vigilante.
Big respect to the 4th User, Hikage Shinomori! His decision to build up power as much as he could is probably a big reason OFA is as powerful as it is now. In fact, I’d go as far to say that he’s the reason AFO doesn’t have the One For All quirk. Let me explain. If AFO’s been trying to keep tabs on the quirk while letting it build up in power, Shinomori spiking its power up could’ve caught AFO off-guard. And, by the time the Overlord of Evil decided to cash it in and steal the quirk for himself, Toshinori had already escaped abroad. Basically, what I’m saying is AFO underestimated how quickly OFA grew in power, resulting in getting his body wrecked by All Might.
Let’s see… I got my popcorn and chai iced tea. Better silence my phone too. Now, I’m all ready for the greatest chapter in One Piece history!

………ArE yOu F*cKiN’ kIdDiNg Me?!
Hyo? Hyogoro the Flower? That’s the focus of the chapter? Screw you, Oda! You got me all hyped up last week thinking I’d see a Nico Robin & Brook VS Black Maria. But, instead we get a character I could give two sweaty farts about! Why? Why did I let myself look forward to anything in this arc. It was a lack in judgement on my part expecting Oda to actually not hop around from scene to scene like a tree frog on cocaine. Enough with the hype already! Just get the to good stuff!
Starting from the top row: Intrigued. Okay. Meh. No. Sorta Interested. Yeah, baby! Hell No. Nope-a-doodle. Sure, why not? You don’t belong here.
It wasn’t all bad though. Marco holding his own against both King and Queens was cool. And, then there’s…nope, that’s it. That was the only interesting thing about the chapter.
A team consisting of the top 3 heroes in Japan. Nice, but what will they call themselves? The Burnvengers? The Wingfenders? The BJ-Men? Inquiring minds want to know.
So, yeah. The country’s gone to sh*t but the top 3 heroes in the country will untie to fix things. That’s quite a bold move and sends a clear message Endeavor, Hawks, and Best Jeanist aren’t playing around. It also sends a wave of much needed hope throughout the public who many I bet feel abandoned by a large number of heroes quitting and the rise of crime. It won’t immediately fix the situation, but it’s a start.
Illegal Denim was the name of my punk band back in high school. Those were the days…
Recruiting heroes from around the world will certainly help. Gee? I wonder if a certain American hero will show up? No, not War Machine! I’m talking about My Hero Vigilantes’ own Captain Celebrity. This is a prime opportunity to feature him in the main series for a bit. Especially, now that it looks like Deku won’t be going abroad.
Why do I say that? A few reasons. One, Central Hospital is so medically advanced I don’t see a reason for Horikoshi shipping Deku abroad for medical treatment for his limbs. And, two, it looks like The Brovengers will figure out Deku’s connection to All Might and help keep him safe.
Let’s talk about Nico Robin. She’s my favorite Straw Hat crew member, you know. She’s smart, kind, capable, and a total badass. I love her.
So, Imagine my excitement seeing her get so much focus this chapter. Not only that, she’s getting a fight! I love seeing Robin fight. I find her devil fruit, the Hana Hana no Mi, to be one of the most versatile powers in the series. Defense, offense, surveillance, rescue, comedy, the fruit does it all. Am I gushing? Sorry. What was my point? Oh, who cares! I love Nico Robin!
That’s right, Sanji. F*ck Batman! Only Robin can save your sorry butt.
Ah! I remember now. Robin’s getting a fight. I’d be lying if I didn’t say I wish it was a one-on-one against Black Maria, but Oda’s being Oda so what can you do? Speaking of which, Oda must’ve been really horny coming up with this chapter. Boobs galore. We get it, Oda. You. Love. Titties.
You went about this all wrong. All you had to do was work with Soga and the guys and you’d be stronger for it. Yeah, yeah, I get it. The police station was attacked and Detective Tanuma was seriously hurt. You know it wasn’t The Crawler but you’re scared that the bomber and Koichi’s clash will put innocent civilians in danger. So…just hire some heroes to protect the hospital! That won’t stop The Crawler but at least they’d be pro heroes ready to assist.
…No?
You’d rather be a huge jerk wad instead? Okay, then.
Koichi taking the biggest, smelliest dump on Deku unlocking Nana’s Float quirk.
Yep, so Tsukauchi’s got the speedy hero Ingenium hot on The Crawler’s heels. The same Ingenium who befriended Koichi many many chapters ago. Oops! Don’t get me wrong. I’m sure Ingenium will try to do his job, but I think he’s also interested in getting Koichi’s side of the story. Not to mention, I’d be cool seeing how fast Koichi can travel compared to Mr. Arm Rockets. My guess is The Crawler will leave him in the dust.
Aizawa. Ingenium. Is Fat Gum also on Tsukauchi’s squad? I certainly hope so! Having all of The Crawler’s hero friends showing up one last time would be quite a sight to see. Especially, if it’s to stop whatever plan No. 6 initiates to get to Pop Step. My guess is a lot of Bomber Creatures or some army of monsters fresh out of Ujiko’s lab attacking. It’s the last arc, baby. Let’s go out with a bang!
Well, not the whole Toya story. Remember the cliffhanger last chapter? The one with Toya snapping and trying to attack baby Shoto? Well, we didn’t see how that played out, but Endeavor’s left sleeve is burned. I guess we’ll see what happened and how Toya ultimately survived the mountain fire some other time. Horikoshi’s probably saving it for the Dabi: Origin chapter(s).
What’s there left to say? Endeavor was a horrible father. Rei went along with it and had a mental breakdown. The other kids, Natsu and Fuyumi, they…didn’t do anything wrong. But, they feel guilty. Look, you two, it’s not your fault. Rei, give them the number of your therapist.
Endeavor forgot to teach Toya how to Stop, Drop, & Roll. Whoopsie!
I do love Rei proclaiming Shoto’s the family’s hero. Sure, Endeavor has to stand back up and face Dabi, but he’s not the hero in this scenario nor will be become one. He’s just taking responsibility for what he did, nothing more.
So…once again I’m wondering will Endeavor survive until the end of the series. Is Horikoshi setting up the #1 hero defeating his son? …No. I think he will try, but in the end it will be Shoto who finally defeats the murderous Todoroki. Just like Deku has to defeat Shigaraki, Shoto will have to stop Dabi. And, Bakugo will one day have to stop…yelling. Yes, my friends, Bakugo VS The Library is now set in stone.
Tama’s forcing her control on countless sentient beings. Making them play the role she wants to play for her benefit. Are we sure she’s not the evil one here?
Of course not! You see, when someone like the Scarlet Witch destroys free will because they’re lonely, that’s bad. But, when it’s to win a war against evil pirates, that’s good. On citizens=bad. On pirates=good. Got it?
Breaking News: Scientists discover robots are what killed the dinosaurs.
Okay, okay, it’s pretty effed up not matter how you slice it, but the Animal Kingdom Pirates constantly engage in murder, slave trading, theft, and torture. They’re not exactly a group you should sympathize with. So, in my humble conclusion…screw ’em!
We have confirmation Toya’s flame quirk is indeed incompatible with his Ice Ice Body. No surprise there. Everyone ready to talk about how much Endeavor’s hot garage? Alright, let’s do it.
If this family was anymore toxic their mail carrier would have to wear a hazmat suit.
But first, screw Rei’s father for agreeing to give his daughter away to some dude she never met. I’m not a fan of arranged marriages (Unless it’s me and Ahsoka Tano), so seeing that at the start really set the gloomy tone of this chapter.
I’d love to go on and on about Endeavor being a shitty dad but it’s already been done to death. Papa Flame gave Toya all the attention in the world so he’d become the next #1 hero. But, once he found out about Toya’s icy body, Enji abandoned him. Sure, he wanted his eldest son to stop burning himself. That’s nice, right? Yeah. But, the problem is with how he went about it.
Or, a Snickers. Or, go to the movies. Something, anything, to calm you’re vigilante hating butt down.
What Aizawa says anytime Mineta and Kaminari does something stupid.
Oh, I can’t wait for the shock Tsukauchi will get when it’s revealed a hero turned Pop Step into a villain, killed numerous people, and almost murdered Detective Tanuma. Maybe that will finally pull the stick out of his law enforcing tail pipe.
But, in the meantime, Team Crawler’s gotta deal with this Tsukauchi. A Tsukauchi holding Koichi’s arrest warrant and a top-secret operation ready to go. Luckily, he texted Aizawa about it. Tsukauchi isn’t stupid, he knows he’ll need a hero or two if he wants to take down my buddy Koichi. Aizawa’s one. Will we see more?
My guess is yes. In fact, this plot is a perfect excuse to bring back not only Eraser Head, but other Pro-heroes Koichi befriended over the years like Ingenium and Fat Gum. Oh, yes, we could be seeing all of them again in the final battle.
