Is Katsuki Bakugo truly dead? Horikoshi sure wants us to think that. Most of the chapter was dedicated to giving Dynamight a heroic end. Hori even showed Bakugo’s heart getting stabbed. Hmm… This is a toughie. The only way I see Bakugo getting saved is Eri, but she’s not there. Now, could someone have developed a tweaked version of Overhaul’s quirk erasure formula? One that could rewind someone back a minute or so? That’s the only thing I can come up with and it’s one heck of a Hail Mary.
If this was One Piece, all he’d need is some bandages and a post fight afterparty.
Sure, it’s awesome seeing Shanks call Admiral Aramaki on his iHaki, but this was a clear promo for the upcoming One Piece movie. Shanks basically did two important things:
1.) Declare he’s serious about finding One Piece
2.) Force Aramaki to leave Wano.
The first could’ve happened from anywhere in the world. The second reason? Well, Aramaki’s reasoning was Luffy’s still recovering from his fight against Kaido and is currently easy to kill. All Oda had to do was have Luffy (and Zoro) blast some Supreme King Haki at the a-hole admiral and that’d be enough for him to think twice and call off his attack. No fuss, no muss. Yep, Oda was definitely throwing the new movie a Brook sized bone.
Well, I’m a bit self-conscious but given some time I can get used to— Wait. Did you say “New Age” or “Nude Age”?
Glad seeing Momonosuke protect Wano. Aramaki will put the dragon’s resistance in his report. No doubt making the World Government less likely to attack the isolated country.
Okay, so, Suneater’s the key in The Big 3’s master plan to slow down Super Shiggy. Yep…
And apparently, Suneater can also gain the powers of any human he eats, as evident by the shy lad eating Nejire Chan. No! Not like that! A piece of her hair or something else that contains her DNA. Hmm… Makes me wonder if he ate a piece of Togata too? I don’t see why not. Well… Actually, Lemillion’s quirk is hard to master, so maybe he couldn’t for that reason. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
I like to read a chapter at least twice, make talking points, then write my general thoughts. Here’s my talking points for this chapter:
…What? There’s nothing there? Yeah, I got zip to say. Not to say nothing happened. Stuff happens in every chapter. I can talk about Shigaraki’s long, white locks all day, but that’s not interesting.
Some fans would pay to be in Bakugo’s position. Switch Shigaraki out with Ms. Joke and I’ll give you all the money.
Well, Oda said we’re headed for the endgame. He’s not joking.
Sabo, the Flame Emperor of the Revolutionaries. Nice. Countries are breaking free from World Government rule, causing quite the crisis for those in charge. Where could this lead? What will the Elder Stars do when backed into a corner? Nothing good, I’ll tell you that! Hmm… Maybe this is where Vegapunk and whatever weapons/devil fruits he cooked up come in?
Sabo killed Cobra Commander—erm—King Cobra? No way! My guess is Im’s forces (the Holy Knights?) tried capturing Vivi, and Cobra got caught in the crossfire. Sabo probably saved Vivi, and she’s lying low with the Revolutionaries. And thank goodness Kuma was saved! I wonder if Jewelry Bonney’s hanging with Team Sabo too? That could be her overall role in the series, helping the Revolutionaries take down the World Government. No telling how old she really is. Bonney may have some intel essential to destroying the current establishment.
Stop trying to make the business course matter, Horikoshi.
It’s far too late for that. Should’ve given them a chapter or two arcs ago. I care about them less than All For Shigaraki does about Bakugo.
Yep, Bakugo thought he was wearing big boy pants, but he’s still rockin’ diapers. The little firecracker used his strongest attack against a quirkless Shigaraki and lost, big time! Too bad, so sad. We’re at the endgame, Y’All. If you ain’t packin’ enough heat to melt the polar ice caps, then you’re in the wrong place. You get a gold star for tryin’ though.
WHAT?! No Deku scene? So, I gotta wait a week or more to learn who the heck’s flying toward him? Come on! Well, maybe that’s a good thing. If it’s important, say like Deku meeting a group of international heroes (including Skycrawler), Horikoshi may be building hype for the reveal. Plus the last volume of My Hero Vigilantes recently came out in Japan. Hori-sensei is probably giving Vigilantes fans time to enjoy Koichi’s debut as an official hero there before introducing him into the main series. Yeah, I’m going all in on this, Y’All. It’s Skycrawler or bust! You can’t tell me he’s not coming. The voices in my head told me, so it must be true.
The only thing that could make this more American is Bakugo eating an apple pie.
Instead, we get a chapter on Team Best Jeanist’s fight against Super Shigaraki inside the flying U.A. fortress. Well, not much of a fight, really. Just the heroes dodging Shiggy’s “simple growth” hands. From what I can understand, the All For One quirk is still adjusting to his body. Basically, he’s getting a final form. That’s the meta here. Don’t act surprised. This is a battle shonen after all.
Endeavor’s mad as hell, and he’s not gonna take it anymore!
Fire Daddy’s angry, Y’All! And, I love he’s accepted it. Using it, in fact, to cause maximum damage to All For One. The power of focused rage is indeed scary. And big-ups to Hawks for giving Endeavor a feathery speed boost. I love combo attacks and that one’s simple, yet effective.
Raw emotion. When used effectively can give someone the power to accomplish things that were otherwise impossible. Here, Endeavor’s using his pure rage to give All For One one hell of a fiery beat down. Losing his arm? Well, that just adds fuel to the number one hero’s impassioned fire. Sorry, AFO. It’s your fault for not stealing an ice quirk. Jerk.
Points to Tsukuyomi and Dark Shadow for knocking the taste out of AFO’s mouth. That was a nasty punch. I can’t help but wonder how monstrous they’d be if they were fighting AFO at night. Endeavor, Hawks, and a full-power Dark Shadow? AFO wouldn’t stand a chance.
Never thought I’d be so happy watching a blind man get punched in the face.
3 billion berries. Luffy, Law, and Kid are all wanted for that amount after defeating Kaido and Big Mom. I thought Luffy would have the highest bounty, but the Elder Stars made him an Emperor, probably under the pretense of Monkey D. heading the alliance. Smart move. Wow! I can’t believe Luffy’s an Emperor now. Remember when a 100 million berri bounty was a huge deal? Congratulations, Monkey D.! I’m so happy to be a One Piece fan!
What about Zoro and Sanji? What’s their current bounties? I don’t see them getting anything less than 1 billion each. Maybe Killer hits 1 billion too. The rest of the Straw Hats will naturally receive higher bounties but I don’t see any of them hitting 1 billion. As for Yamato, he’s getting a wanted poster, no doubt.
Where’s the DJ? Anybody got any coke? …What the hell kinda party is this?!
Kaido and Big Mom. Where are they? Well, the Big Mom Pirates most likely recovered their fallen captain, but Kaido wasn’t among the Animal Kingdom Pirates at Udon, so I’m assuming the Big Bad Dragon Daddy’s with Big Mom’s crew. Probably best he’s off Wano. If anyone got word he’s still there, the entire country would try to finish him off. Still, I’m interested in what his and Big Mom’s reaction will be learning they lost their Emperor status.
