Never thought I’d say it, but I think I’m interested in Who’s Who now.

A former CP9 agent with fighting potential on par with Rob Lucci? Possibly thrown in jail for not guarding a devil fruit? I’m all ears, Oda! But why was he thrown in jail over losing the Gum-Gum fruit to the freakin’ Red Hair Pirates? Hmm… Could the fruit had been originally for a Celestial Dragon or other royal big-wig? And ole’ Whosey got thrown behind bars because of their hissy fit? There’s few people with authority over CP9 so it’d have to be someone high on the World Government food chain. Well, maybe it was just Spandine being a petty jerk. A simple answer, but it makes sense.

Nami’s been redeemed! Not really, but you can pretend it happened that way.

Sure, her kindness helped Zeus survive long enough for him to escape death, but KO’ing a mostly injured opponent, even if they’re a Tobi Roppo, isn’t something to write home about. It’s just an easy way to see Nami’s climate baton upgrade and, maybe, have her steal credit for taking down Ulti from Big Mamma Jamma. Hey, I’m not complaining! I love Zeus merging with the climate baton. The chapter seemed to want to make it clear he’s been reborn and weakened, but still tough enough to down powerful fighters. Hopefully, it all means Nami gets at least one more formidable battle before One Piece ends.

Two Tobi Roppo down, three to go. Too bad we didn’t get X Drake’s reaction. We haven’t seen him in a while. Anyway, I hope this means the other Tobi Maguire fights finish up soon. Jack, Queen, and King are still fighting, and I doubt they’re going down before them. I swear, if freaking Page One gets back up Oda… *fist shaking intensifies*

CP0’s still there providing narrative updates. Moving on.

Luffy gained Wifi Haki. Cool, but he still needs a Gum-Gum VPN if he doesn’t want the World Government knowing his browser history.

So it was Luffy calling Momonosuke, not Seakings. Okay. Law’s submarine saves Luffy’s butt once again. The Heart Pirates should start an Uber service with that thing. He’d be the richest pirate in the Grandline just from charging Luffy alone.

That takes care of the rubber man, but what about Momonosuke and Shinobu? They’re falling now too (How long has it’s been since Shinobu used her devil fruit power? I forgot she had one.)! No problem. Momo can fly in his beast dragon form and Shinobu can ninja glide.

And with Kaido distracted by Yamato, nows the perfect time for them to make their escape. Yamato VS Kaido. It’s been a semi-long time coming. I’m jazzed about it. But that also means we’re probably getting flashbacks of their past and current relationship. The Wano Hater™ in me is not happy about this arc lasting even longer but what can I do? Stop reading until the Wano Arc ends? Hahahahaha! ……Could I? I’ve been reading One Piece “weekly” for over a decade. I never considered it until now…

Who’s calling Momonosuke on the haki line? Luffy? Sea Kings? Jonathan Davis? I just hope it’s not another telemarketer..

Let’s see… Luffy fell into the sea, so either Law’s submarine saves him or Sea Kings. Guess I’ll go with Sea Kings assuming they’re the ones giving Momonosuke a migraine. But if I’m right, who called them? Hmm…I doubt Shirahoshi will show up anytime soon so… I’m stumped on this one, Y’all.

Once again, it’s time for everyone’s favorite game: Who’s Dead! On today’s show we have Monkey D. Luffy, Kiku, Kanjuro, and Kin’emon. Let’s start with the easiest. Luffy’s alive. He’s the main character! Kiku? Hmm… Assuming Oda’s genuinely killing off at least some of the samurai, I’d say YES! Next, Kanjuro. Oh, yeah, he’s dead. Killed by Kin’emon is the perfect way for him to go.

That’s something, Y’all. Good on you, Nami. Now to take my hopes of you having another wondrous 1v1, chop it up, then flush it down the drain.

Yep, I’ve given up on Nami. She’s gonna stay a weak fighter forever. …Hmm? Well, there’s her getting a permanent Zeus upgrade. Sure, Zeus is kinda dead right now, but maybe he’s kinda not. He could be simply inside Hera, small and weak. Oh, who am I kidding? Enough of this fake drama, he’s coming back! The whole Zeus subplot is solely meant to upgrade Nami’s fighting ability. The only question is when and how. My guess is Hera gets cut or smash or something and a tiny Zeus pops out. I will give Oda credit, I care a lot more about the little cloud than I ever have before. Looking forward to his return.

Big Mom made Hera to be Prometheus’ girlfriend. Whatever, Oda. F.U. Big Moron, F.U. Brometheus and F.U. too Hera, you basic cumulonimbus bore. I’ve seen literal clouds that look like tea cups with a better personality than you.

I’m not crazy about the Wano Arc but it helps me appreciate just how much I love the Straw Hat Crew.

Nami, hands down, is my MVP of the week. She and Usopp will never become the bravest pirates, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t capable. And when one or both of them find the courage to give it their all, it’s always a sight to see. Who can blame her? Tama got slashed in the forking face by Ulti! Not slapped. Not punched. SLASHED. That’s brutal, Y’all. So, it looks like Nami’s getting a fight after all this arc. Maybe.

Big Mom’s there too. This could all be Oda simply ending the chapter on a high note then washing away the moment with Big Mom stepping in and Nami doing something later after Zeus permanently becomes her partner. Either way, I hope this is the last stop for both Page One and Ulti. I really don’t care about them.

This was one of those busy chapters where not a lot of important stuff really happened.

So, okay. Luffy and Kaido are still fighting. Kid’s still chasing Big Mom. But now, Killer is gonna fight Hawkins. Sounds fun, right? I’m glad you think so because I don’t care one bit. #robinbrookfight2021

Big Mom made another cloud homie to replace Zeus, called Hera. You get it? And it’s your classic female villain with an annoying laugh…and lipstick. Sure, why not One Piece? We have living fire with teeth. Why not have living clouds wearing makeup? Next chapter will probably have Napoleon wearing Supreme streetwear. Drip, baby. Drip.

Look out, Big Mom! It’s a trap! Oh, well. Hope you can swim. You can’t? Uh-oh…

It was a good plan. Separate Big Mom from her three homies, then throw her off the dome. Simple, yet effective. But will she fall into the sea and die? I’d say at least half of that question is possible. Sure, she may fall into waters below, but her kids will probably save her.

Orochi’s dead…again. You can stop chopping off his head, Oda. We already know hydras don’t die from that. Maybe third times the charm? Nah! I doubt it. But I do wonder how Orochi plans on escaping Onigashima. I guess he doesn’t know it’s flying. Whoopsie!

Od*n. Shogun Orochi. Ashura Doji. Let’s go down the list and see just who’s alive and who’s living impaired.

First up, Od*n. *SHUDDERS* Thank Enel he’s still dead! Like many had predicted, the former Whitebeard and Roger pirate was a living painting controlled by Kanjuro. Yep, turns out a notable villain in this arc didn’t get off-screened. Shocking, I know, but now he can get a proper death. Death, you say? Yeah, I don’t think Kanjuro’s making it out of this arc alive. But, then again, this is One Piece. Hmm…I’d say YES. He’s a dead man. Not by Yamato’s hand. He’ll protect Momonosuke long enough for Kin’emon to make the killing blow.

Next, Ashura Doji. Is he dead? Given how seriously Oda is taking the Akazaya Nine’s plot, I’d say YES. He’s dead. Oda gave him a very dramatic death, named the chapter after him, and even showed a portion of his charred body. Yep, he dead like disco, Y’all.
