I know. I know. That has nothing to do with the chapter but I’m calling it now.
Anyway, St. Saturn is quite the bastard. Well, more than usual. Could his zoan fruit be influencing his personality? Seriously, that guy went from 10 to 100 pretty quickly. And not even Sanji can stand up to him! Don’t go outside at night, Sanji fans. Zoro fans are lurking in the shadows, ready to pounce/debate how, if Zoro was there, Saturn would be dead.
Bartholomew Kuma. We’re finally getting his backstory. Not only do we learn he’s a Buccaneer but he’s also a slave. You know, first I assumed Sun God Nika would be associated with the D’s. Where exactly do they fit into all of this? Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
We already knew The Five Elders have devil fruit powers but we didn’t know much of anything else. By the way, the fact that Sabo was able to escape them is nothing short of amazing. So given what we’ve seen this chapter, just what fruit does St. Saturn have? Whatever it is, my guess it’s a mythical zoan-type fruit. Hmm… If human-human fruits exists, what about demon-demon fruits? At the very least, I think it’s a mythical spider fruit. Whatever it is, it’s crazy powerful!
Bonney would’ve did more damage asking Bill Burr to insult Saturn for eight minutes
I’ll try to keep this short because most One Piece fans have already watched at least some of OPLA. If you loved it, great! I’m with you. If you hated it, great! Stick with the manga and/or anime.
Seriously, as someone who doesn’t watch the anime on a regular basis due to its slow pacing, I get it. The One Piece manga/anime is created for Japanese boys. One Piece Live-Action is made for a broader audience. It’s also tasked with fitting an entire arc into eight episodes. Entire scenes, characters, and plots had to be cut to make it work. And, I think it does work. It works surprising well. But, yeah, that all depends on someone’s personal opinions about One Piece. So, if you didn’t like the changes or what was cut, I understand why you’re not feeling it.
Or, yes. It depends on the drug. Illegal drugs aren’t good for you. Aspirin is a legal drug. But don’t smoke it! Anyway, Gear 5 Luffy VS Still Not Fully Serious Admiral Kizaru revs up. Kinda.
Oda seems to be slowly building up the main fight of the arc. Classic shonen stuff. It also signals this arc could last longer than we think. Especially, now that Team Luffy has separated.
Zoro VS Rob Lucci. Zoro fights the second strongest person in an arc. Is that Lucci? At the moment, yes. But, what about the Seraphim? Could Lucci simply be round one? I’m gonna say, yes. As much as Lucci’s improved, I see Oda ending this arc with a weakened Zoro battling the Seraphim, specifically, S-Hawk.
Come on! You know better than that, Luffy. In fact, I don’t blame you. I blame Oda for wanting to end this chapter on a Gear 5 cliffhanger at logic’s expense.
Jewelry Bonney got the snot kicked out of her! I guess she fell down to the Fabriophase. Just her and that awakening Ancient Robot. Get in that robot and go Gundam on the Navy, Bonney!
The Ancient Robot is powered by toon force. It’s giant mallet and ACME bombs will come in handy.
Still, I don’t think you’re worthy of getting the chapter named after you. We did see your (short) backstory, so I guess that’s fine. Hey? Was Sentomaru’s backstory the first time we’ve seen Admiral Kizaru laugh? I think so.
Bye-bye, Sea Beast Weapons! Watch out, Navy. Animal-cyborg rights groups are gonna flip out once they find out. Talk about a PR nightmare! But, at least the Navy now controls of the PX-IIIs. Guess we’ll see them again during the final war playing a similar back-up role like the OG Pacifistas during the Marineford War.
You think that’s bad, Kizaru? Wait until you see Luffy’s table manners.
Stussy’s down! Oh, no! How dare you finger her without permission, Rob Lucci! Forget, Zoro. Women’s rights groups are gonna rip you a new one. Knowing the World Government, he’ll probably just get promoted again. That’s what happens when the world is literally controlled by guys. Where’s Susan D. Anthony when we need her?
The culprit is probably York given how much Nami wants to knock the taste out of her mouth. Here’s something interesting: This is the first time Luffy talked directly with the Five Elders. It was played for laughs but that felt like a powerful moment. Hope we get another.
So, Saint Saturn has three main objectives. I can see him getting the Power Plant, Punk Records too. As for York The Greedy? Nah! I’m thinking Blackbeard’s Crew snatches her before the Navy. But, that’s mostly because I want York joining the Blackbeard Pirates, complete with getting a brand new devil fruit, of course.
Not of the Enis Lobby arc itself, but of that massive hole in the sea the arc took place over. I seriously doubt that’s a coincidence. In fact, seeing the same type of hole at what used to be Lulusia Kingdom confirms in my mind the weapon used to destroy poor Lulusia was indeed Uranus! So, if the World Government gets their naughty hands on more Mother Flame, it’s game over. How lucky for the Celestial Dragons that Sacred Marijoa is located on top of the Red Line. They can destroy as many islands as they want and not worry about their lands flooding. Yeah… I don’t think that’s a coincidence either.
St. Saturn. It’s easy believing he’s at Egghead simply to regain control of the Seraphim but what if he’s got another purpose. He’s the Godhead of Science and Defense, after all. If he gets access to the lab Mother Flame is created, he could figure out how to make the (assumed) power source himself. Again, that’s a game over for Team Everyone But The World Government. Either way, from a story perspective, the Five Elders will probably gain access to the Mother Flame, putting the series into a classic save-the-world scenario for Team Everyone Else.
All nine Vice Admirals look like teachers I had back in high school
Oda’s bound to show us what happened on Egghead leading us to York The Greedy’s capture. There’s a lot we need to know. For example, where’s Jewelry Bonney’s head at? I’m assuming she knows Kuma’s backstory by now. What did she learn? Everything? Including Kuma’s special body that Blackbeard probably has?
Nice going, Captain Koby! You helped save your allies. Well, all except for Vice Admiral Garp. Similar to the Worst Generation is for pirates, Oda is moving the younger members of the Navy to the forefront. They, like Egghead Island panties, are the future.
So, what does that mean for Garp? Whether he survives or not, Garp is part of the old guard and up for elimination or retirement. For now, I think Garp is alive. Remember several chapters back when Blackbeard wanted to use Captain Koby’s status to gain official recognition as the king of Fullalead? There’s gotta be a reason for that more than just going to VIP coke parties. You know Blackbeard. Ever step he takes is to further his overall goals. Becoming a king must give him access to information or an opportunity to move him toward the One Piece.
This is the worst time for a squirrel to crawl up Garp’s pants.
It’s you fault Vice Admiral Garp’s gonna die! Wait? Will he die? Sure, Garp’s death will help solidify the Blackbeard Pirates as a genuine world threat but that can happen just from Garp losing. And it won’t even be Blackbeard himself doing the deed, but Kuzan killing Garp would be impactful too. In any case, Oda’s got to take Garp off the fighting board and this battle will do it.
See Koby? That’s why the others don’t invite you out to play D&D with them.
