Nougat 6 [My Hero Vigilantes 103]

We got confirmation the O’Clock vestige is simply No. 6 talking to himself. It’s okay, buddy. We’ve all been there.

Lot’s of No. 6 screen time this week. He’ll be the focus of conversation this time around, starting with us learning more than half his body’s composed of bomber cells now. That’s interesting. Was it an upgrade or was his body modification necessary because of his injuries from Endeavor? Maybe both. In any case, No. 6’s Clay Face body makes him much harder to capture, let alone kill. That said, I doubt he’s far from immortal. Destroying his brain will still do the trick, but as we know, Koichi doesn’t go for the kill. That leaves either Knuckleduster or No. 6 himself doing the deed. Yes, my friends. My long-standing theory on No. 6 going full suicide bomber is still in effect.

Bullet Time for Overclock [My Hero Vigilantes 102]

As varied, strange, and numerous quirks are in the My Hero Universe, most can’t escape one glaring weakness: guns.

No. 6’s stolen Overclock quirk’s no exception. Yes, it makes No. 6 fast, but even he’s not immune to the pow-pow, if you can catch him. The vigilantes and police knowing Overclock’s weakness gives them an enormous advantage (Shout out to Knuckleduster and Detective Tanuma giving their respective teams the info on No. 6). All they have to do is force No. 6 to continuously use the quirk without pause, depleting the villain’s brain of precious oxygen needed to survive. Easy peasy, right?

Well… On paper, yes. The good guys did well this chapter. Extremely well, in fact. It looks like No. 6 is down for the count, but we all know it’s not gonna be that easy. No. 6’s legs have been shot, but he’s got Regeneration. The party ain’t over yet. It’s barely even started!

Either No.6 is saying hi or he and the Anons are about to perform a flash mod Thriller dance.

No. 6 can easily escape by blowing up a wall or making a hole in the floor. He could also use Trigger. Yeah, Trigger. Remember that? No. 6 using it would be a good way to bookend the story, seeing as the first MHV arc was about finding the people behind the drug.

Visiting Hours Are Over [My Hero Vigilantes 101]

The Leave-The-Hospital-Arc is over. Koichi’s back and ready to do what he does best: Whatever Soga tells him to do.

That’s a good thing, by the way. Soga’s got the brains while Koichi’s got the brawn/speed. Those two back together means the Anonymus Soldier Counterattack™ will start very soon. Did Soga retrieve whatever was under the tarp in Koichi’s building? I bet he did, and that’s gonna play a huge role in their plans at some point.

So, what’s the plan? Honestly, I don’t know. There’re too many unknown factors at play. The Anons’ weakness, No. 6, Koichi’s willingness whether to go all out against Anons, the special hospital ward’s defense capabilities, the thing under the tarp, Midnight and Detective Tsukauchi’s current location; there’re dozens of ways this could all go down. Frankly, it’s exciting not knowing what’s gonna specifically happen.

Besides flying, Koichi also mastered the classic superhero pose.

Anonymously Blowing Heroes…Up! [My Hero Vigilantes 100]

The Drone Soldier Villain: Anonymous. They seem like average people but obsessed with destroying high profile personalities for their own self-interest. Reminds me of Twitter.

A war suggests people may die this arc. *GASP!* I don’t see Midnight here. Oh no!

We get the low-down on what exactly these bomber creatures are. Notice how much they look like No. 6? The artificial human acting as their commander probably isn’t a coincidence either. My guess is they’re primitive/altered versions of himself. Inferior clones, you could say.

You can tell Aizawa likes you when he doesn’t bind your neck. Sorry, Monoma.

Koichi’s Got 99 Problems… [My Hero Vigilantes 99]

But a Six ain’t one. Wait, no. That’s not right.

No. 6 is an immense problem. Especially now that he somehow knows what’s going on throughout Naruhata from his location. Some type of radar quirk? Could he be getting reports from his goon squad spying on the heroes? Is he working with Wendy Williams? I hope it gets explained later.

Operation Anonymous. It’s a good plan. Causing a complete blackout and traffic jams while at the same time causing minor destruction. Not enough to warrant All Might stepping in, but more than enough to cause citizens to panic. It could even snowball into fights and/or riots! There’re tons of possibility for trouble, which means the heroes could be more and more distracted from No. 6’s hospital attack.

Who needs bomber monsters when Aizawa’s there putting Koichi on blast?

But at least the heroes seem to be done with chasing The Crawler. They’ve got bigger problems to worry about now. They’re ain’t stupid. Eraser Head and the others have figured out pretty quickly this was all planned. Now’s the time to find the real villain!

Lights Out [My Hero Vigilantes 98]

The final battle begins. Nightmare Night. Terrible Twilight. Nasty Nocturnal. Deadlight Saving Time. Okay, that last one didn’t work so much but, yeah, welcome to My Hero Vigilante’s last battle arc.

It makes sense. Everything going down in Naruhata. It started here. Most of the series took place here. So, naturally, the good guys will have to work together in order to save it in the finale. I really like that. The whole fighting for your home thing. But, from the ending narration, things are gonna get worse before they get better.

This chapter’s sponsored by L’Oreal. Because You’re Worth It.

No. 6 is looking a little crazy this chapter. Well, crazier. He’s still talking to that image of O’Clock and he’s not even trying to look cool and collected. He’s going all out this time. Looks like All For One gave Roku 6 another quirk or two. We’ve never seen him use that EMP ability before, and he was also “activating” those creatures walking around Naruhata. Yep, our good friend No. 6 has been upgraded. I probably should’ve seen that coming. The Crawler is really in trouble now!

Fugitive Follies [My Hero Vigilantes 97]

Turbo Hero: Ingenium, you ain’t sh*t!

And here I thought most of this chapter would build up Ingenium as this great speedster hero only for The Crawler to shut him down. Nope! Apparently, you aren’t worth the pages, Tensei. Koichi’s speed and vertical mobility are just too much for you to handle now.

That’s right, Y’all. Koichi’s a high-tier quirk user, so only the best heroes have a chance at stopping him. But Detective Tsukauchi wouldn’t send Top 10 heroes to hunt down a simple vigilante with an excellent reputation only trying to help his frien—Oh, wait. Nevermind.

Geez, Tsukauchi! At this point, I’m surprised he hasn’t called All Might to kick Koichi in the junk.

Tsukauchi De-fun’d the Police [My Hero Vigilantes 96]

Detective Tsukauchi, you blockhead!

You went about this all wrong. All you had to do was work with Soga and the guys and you’d be stronger for it. Yeah, yeah, I get it. The police station was attacked and Detective Tanuma was seriously hurt. You know it wasn’t The Crawler but you’re scared that the bomber and Koichi’s clash will put innocent civilians in danger. So…just hire some heroes to protect the hospital! That won’t stop The Crawler but at least they’d be pro heroes ready to assist.

…No?

You’d rather be a huge jerk wad instead? Okay, then.

Koichi taking the biggest, smelliest dump on Deku unlocking Nana’s Float quirk.

Yep, so Tsukauchi’s got the speedy hero Ingenium hot on The Crawler’s heels. The same Ingenium who befriended Koichi many many chapters ago. Oops! Don’t get me wrong. I’m sure Ingenium will try to do his job, but I think he’s also interested in getting Koichi’s side of the story. Not to mention, I’d be cool seeing how fast Koichi can travel compared to Mr. Arm Rockets. My guess is The Crawler will leave him in the dust.

Aizawa. Ingenium. Is Fat Gum also on Tsukauchi’s squad? I certainly hope so! Having all of The Crawler’s hero friends showing up one last time would be quite a sight to see. Especially, if it’s to stop whatever plan No. 6 initiates to get to Pop Step. My guess is a lot of Bomber Creatures or some army of monsters fresh out of Ujiko’s lab attacking. It’s the last arc, baby. Let’s go out with a bang!

Detective Tsukauchi Needs to Get Laid [My Hero Vigilantes 95]

Or, a Snickers. Or, go to the movies. Something, anything, to calm you’re vigilante hating butt down.

What Aizawa says anytime Mineta and Kaminari does something stupid.

Oh, I can’t wait for the shock Tsukauchi will get when it’s revealed a hero turned Pop Step into a villain, killed numerous people, and almost murdered Detective Tanuma. Maybe that will finally pull the stick out of his law enforcing tail pipe.

But, in the meantime, Team Crawler’s gotta deal with this Tsukauchi. A Tsukauchi holding Koichi’s arrest warrant and a top-secret operation ready to go. Luckily, he texted Aizawa about it. Tsukauchi isn’t stupid, he knows he’ll need a hero or two if he wants to take down my buddy Koichi. Aizawa’s one. Will we see more?

My guess is yes. In fact, this plot is a perfect excuse to bring back not only Eraser Head, but other Pro-heroes Koichi befriended over the years like Ingenium and Fat Gum. Oh, yes, we could be seeing all of them again in the final battle.

Detective Tanuma Knew-ma Too Tanu-much [My Hero Vigilantes 94]

Mother. F*cker.

This is the last time the three of them will meet in real life. On Minecraft servers however…

Welp! Now we know why Detective Tanuma hasn’t shown up in the main series. He’s dead. Well…unless he’s got a quirk that could protect him, but I doubt it. No one knew AFO was back at the beginning of My Hero Academia. Meaning, Tanuma didn’t survive to tell anyone about the connection between the Underground Masquerade Case, All For One, and the Instant Villains. Yeah, he’s dead.

Oh, Number 6. You crazy bastard. Now you’re having visions of O’Clock. Well, actually, someone on a forum (Thanks, Rizaadxn!) pointed out that No. 6 “talked” to fake O’Clock before way back in chapter 71. This just adds more fuel to the O’Clock obsessive fire. Remember, he called the former hero his master even though the two hadn’t met until the Sky Egg Arc. Not to mention his sociopathic determination in becoming the next O’Clock in both name and profession. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, when No. 6 is forced to realize The Crawler is the better speedster (and true successor to O’Clock) he’s gonna flip his shit!
