Okay, so, Suneater’s the key in The Big 3’s master plan to slow down Super Shiggy. Yep…
And apparently, Suneater can also gain the powers of any human he eats, as evident by the shy lad eating Nejire Chan. No! Not like that! A piece of her hair or something else that contains her DNA. Hmm… Makes me wonder if he ate a piece of Togata too? I don’t see why not. Well… Actually, Lemillion’s quirk is hard to master, so maybe he couldn’t for that reason. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
I like to read a chapter at least twice, make talking points, then write my general thoughts. Here’s my talking points for this chapter:
…What? There’s nothing there? Yeah, I got zip to say. Not to say nothing happened. Stuff happens in every chapter. I can talk about Shigaraki’s long, white locks all day, but that’s not interesting.
Some fans would pay to be in Bakugo’s position. Switch Shigaraki out with Ms. Joke and I’ll give you all the money.
Stop trying to make the business course matter, Horikoshi.
It’s far too late for that. Should’ve given them a chapter or two arcs ago. I care about them less than All For Shigaraki does about Bakugo.
Yep, Bakugo thought he was wearing big boy pants, but he’s still rockin’ diapers. The little firecracker used his strongest attack against a quirkless Shigaraki and lost, big time! Too bad, so sad. We’re at the endgame, Y’All. If you ain’t packin’ enough heat to melt the polar ice caps, then you’re in the wrong place. You get a gold star for tryin’ though.
WHAT?! No Deku scene? So, I gotta wait a week or more to learn who the heck’s flying toward him? Come on! Well, maybe that’s a good thing. If it’s important, say like Deku meeting a group of international heroes (including Skycrawler), Horikoshi may be building hype for the reveal. Plus the last volume of My Hero Vigilantes recently came out in Japan. Hori-sensei is probably giving Vigilantes fans time to enjoy Koichi’s debut as an official hero there before introducing him into the main series. Yeah, I’m going all in on this, Y’All. It’s Skycrawler or bust! You can’t tell me he’s not coming. The voices in my head told me, so it must be true.
The only thing that could make this more American is Bakugo eating an apple pie.
Instead, we get a chapter on Team Best Jeanist’s fight against Super Shigaraki inside the flying U.A. fortress. Well, not much of a fight, really. Just the heroes dodging Shiggy’s “simple growth” hands. From what I can understand, the All For One quirk is still adjusting to his body. Basically, he’s getting a final form. That’s the meta here. Don’t act surprised. This is a battle shonen after all.
Endeavor’s mad as hell, and he’s not gonna take it anymore!
Fire Daddy’s angry, Y’All! And, I love he’s accepted it. Using it, in fact, to cause maximum damage to All For One. The power of focused rage is indeed scary. And big-ups to Hawks for giving Endeavor a feathery speed boost. I love combo attacks and that one’s simple, yet effective.
Raw emotion. When used effectively can give someone the power to accomplish things that were otherwise impossible. Here, Endeavor’s using his pure rage to give All For One one hell of a fiery beat down. Losing his arm? Well, that just adds fuel to the number one hero’s impassioned fire. Sorry, AFO. It’s your fault for not stealing an ice quirk. Jerk.
Points to Tsukuyomi and Dark Shadow for knocking the taste out of AFO’s mouth. That was a nasty punch. I can’t help but wonder how monstrous they’d be if they were fighting AFO at night. Endeavor, Hawks, and a full-power Dark Shadow? AFO wouldn’t stand a chance.
Never thought I’d be so happy watching a blind man get punched in the face.
Wow! Jiro’s really shining in this arc. Going up against All For One? One of the biggest bads there is, and she’s still pressing on. Remember how the Bakugo Rescue Team (Deku and Friends) were paralyzed and almost threw up in AFO’s presence back in Kamino? Yeah, Jiro’s strong willed, Y’All. Even losing an ear didn’t stop her. MVP of the Week right here!
Buuuuut, there’s one tiny problem: Jiro’s speech/conviction motivating the wills of AFO’s stolen quirks. That was a bullsh*t sandwich with cheese. Took me out the chapter. Now, if it’s revealed to be some effect of her sound quirk? Sure, it’d still stink but less like a New Jersey sewer and more like a post-broccoli cassorole fart. I’d take the fart but I’d rather not have either.
Now, that’s a superhero entrance! Bravo, Earphone Jack & Tsukuyomi! Helping Hawks and Endeavor fight All For One is one hell of an upgrade. It’s about as pro-hero as you can get. Just don’t die, okay?
Wish Jiro would sit on me. Wait! Did I say that out loud?
Dabi’s indeed down for the count, but not quite out. Something’s happening to his body. Did AFO give him an extra quirk while slapping his butt as a token of encouragement? That has to be a second quirk glowing in Dabi’s chest. I wonder what it’ll do? While I wasn’t that invested in Dabi and Shoto’s fight, I’m looking forward to what Horikoshi has planned for Dabi in the future. See you in round 2, Hothead.
More Tartarus escapees! Yes! That’s what I want, more powerful villains giving our heroes a run for their money. This Kunieda guy’s with his plant related quirk looks fun. Can’t wait to see that in action.
You think that’s weird? Wait until you see his nipple missile quirk.
The return of Gigantomachia? I certainly hope so. It’s the last arc; pull out all the stops, Hori-darling. Can’t wait to see Skycrawler showing up and taking him down. Just kidding! Kochi’s going to help Endeavor beat down All For One. Yeah, I’m gonna keep saying it. He’s coming, damn it! No one call tell me otherwise!
Toya VS Shoto. Uh-huh. They’re brothers, but that’s it. There’s no real personal investment from either. Dabi’s just attacking Shoto because he’s Endeavor’s favorite, while Shoto’s using Dabi as a stepping stone to master his new Ultimate Move.
And sorry, Shoto, but I’m over your daddy issues. I’m glad for you, but I don’t feel all too invested because you’ve been slowly reconnecting with your dad. Sure, you were feeling stuck seeing Izuku and Bakugo gain experience and power, but I don’t think the manga focused on your insecurities enough in the last fifty chapters to deserve this kind of payoff. I’m so apathetic about it all.
