Elbaph’s citizens not accepting Loki as their new king despite his justified killing of Harald? Sure. I’ll give you that.
Loki feeling undeserving to become king because of his past and genuine guilt from killing his own father? Yep. I get it.
Loki determined to make the World Government pay for putting the whammy on Harald? I’m with you, Oda-sensei.
So, why not just tell the people of Elbaph what happened, with Jarul and Gaban backing you up?!
Seriously. Why not? The citizens won’t want you as their king? Fine! You don’t want the job anyway! They’ll still blame you for it? Fine! You wanna leave and take on the World Government anyway, so it doesn’t matter!

Loki being imprisoned in The Underworld seems like an half-assed excuse to keep Loki’s true motivations secret from the readers until it was time for the action-packed back half of the arc. It feels so forced to me.
Ragnir having the power to create BOTH lightning and ice is quite the surprise! Loki mentioned being able to “fly” up to Sun World. Could wind powers also be something Ragnir can do? And don’t get me started on fire! A Loki with Ragnir/Luffy fire attack combo is all but confirmed in my mind!
I’m more invested in Shanks than I’ve ever been in the entire series! Thanks to LunaPienArt’s videos, I’m starting to see Shanks as the Batman of the One Piece world. He’s slowly maneuvering events and people into place to overthrow the World Government. He’s the bridge connecting Gol D. Roger’s desire to save the world to the new generation’s power to make it happen.
Makes me wonder if Luffy will ever learn what Shanks has really been up to at some point? Could go either way really. It won’t change Luffy’s feelings for his mentor. One thing is crystal clear though: Woe be to the unfortunate dillweed who kills Shanks if that’s how his life ends. Monkey D. Luffy WILL eradicate you!

This was an okay chapter! Loki’s reasoning for keeping the truth behind Harald’s death a secret doesn’t work for me, but everything else is fine. Maybe Loki can explain how he didn’t take a shit while chained? Oh, who am I kidding! It’s haki. Supreme Charmin Haki to be specific.
