National Haki League [One Piece 1165]

Even Rocks can’t handle two powerful Ds at once!

Well, looks like the big DraftKings Haki fight is over.

Winners: Monkey D. Garp and Gol D. Roger

Luckily for them, Gaban and Rayleigh will save those two since defeating Rocks took every ounce of big D. energy they had. Gonna take a lot of V8 bottles and D3 vitamins to get them back on their feet.

Rocks’ Crew have officially broken up. Either “betrayed” by Davy Hasselhoff D. Xebec or just grabbed some loot and bounced. Do I care? No. None of them are worth talking about except for Edward Newgate. I find it interesting Newgate left on Captain Polo Gram’s ship. I never would’ve guessed our favorite Quaker met Marco’s father.

Bye-bye, Polo Gram!

I’ve seen better fight scenes watching My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.
And the award for the “Person With The Worst Reason To Work For An Evil Organization” goes to…

Marco’s a member of Whitebeard’s crew and called him “Pops” so… Yeah, he’s a dead pineapple man walking.

Special props to Monkey D. Dragon for forcing his marine ship to pickup the last of the God Valley survivors. He’s—no doubt—still reeling from his failure to save Shanks and Shamrock. No way is Dragon leaving that island without saving something other than 15% off his car insurance.

Still, I assumed Dragon would acquire his devil fruit at God Valley. I guess he’ll pick it up somewhere else, unless it’s stored away on that marine ship. Oh, well! No time to worry about that now, Dragon. You haven’t finished typing up your resignation letter. Don’t forgetz to yous spell check!

Release the Imu-stein Files!

This was an okay chapter! The big fight against Rocks was average at best and most of the other characters in this chapter didn’t interest me except for Polo Gram and Dragon. Overall, the “God Valley Incident” didn’t live up to my expectations. It was just a place where a bunch of super strong characters were gathered at the same place, fought for a bit, then left—all while needing to setup Domi Reversi as the most dangerous power seen in the One Piece world so far.

You see, kids? Now, when Harald gets Domi Reversi’d later then BEGS Loki to kill him, the Cursed Son will be redeemed for doing so and eating the special royal devil fruit in order to keep it out of enemy hands.

And Loki’s quest to destroy the world? That’s just him wanting to destroy the World Government for trying to take over Elbaph.

And Shanks stopped Loki instead of joining him and the Revolutionary Army against the World Government because…

…Uhh… He knocked up Makino? Guess you can’t overthrow world leaders until you find a proper daycare for you kid. Priorities!
