(Demonic) Possession Is Nine-Tenths Of The Law [One Piece 1164]

Ain’t no dang-darn-doobley way the Rocks Pirates didn’t notice Rocks was possessed!

Seriously, Oda? Big Mom, Kaido, and Edward Newgate never noticed their CAPTAIN—whose body grew larger, gained monstrous fangs, sounds different, and sprouted WINGS—was being controlled by the giant monster who’d impaled him just a moment ago?

Hey. Come over here a moment, Oda. Come on, this won’t take but a second…

Let me guess, you didn’t know how to breakup the Rocks Pirates when you first introduced the idea earlier in the series, right? It’s okay. You can tell me.

…Yeah. I thought so.

Look. It happens. You write something cool then can’t quite make the plot fit perfectly to justify it, so you do what you can hoping no one notices. Don’t worry, we forgive you!

Imu: ♫It’s me, hi
I’m the problem, it’s me♫
In his haste, Kuma accidently sent them all to Mordor.

It’s looking more and more like Davy Bautista D. Xebec isn’t making it off God Valley alive. I doubt Imu’s leaving until the job’s done. Well, one job is done: The “death” of Xebec’s family.

MVP Kuma saving Eris and Teech at the last second was awesome! Now, Imu thinks they’re dead (Just in the flashback. In the present, it looks like the Five Elders learned Blackbeard’s a Davy from St. Saturn’s short conversation with Catarina Devon and Van Augur on Egghead Island). Now, all of the last surviving Davy Clan family are under Imu’s scary demonic control. Eek!

Once Garp and Roger kills Xebec, Imu just has to do away with the weaker Davys under his spell and it’s Game Over.

Oh! Excuse me, I meant “Game Over”. (Isn’t that right, Teech?)

Hmm… Xebec in a previous chapter said he needs two devil fruits in order to take on Imu. One, is probably Blackbeard’s Darkness-Darkness fruit. And, the other is probably Loki’s devil fruit. Blackbeard probably knows this, thanks to Eris, so how is he planning on defeating Imu without Loki’s devil fruit?

Or…was he planning all along to recruit the giant Cursed Prince, or even kill him and take the devil fruit for himself?? Could we see Blackbeard arriving on Elbaph soon??? Place your bets now.

Screw Garp and Roger! One quick call to the Care Bears will solve all of your problems.

This was an okay chapter! Xebec and Imu’s conversation and Kuma’s quick save were the highlights. I also liked learning the legendary Davy D. Jones was the former King of the World.

Oh, I shouldn’t. It’s low-hanging fruit. But…I can’t resist.~~

*Ahem!* It’s a shock to me because everyone knows the former King of the World was Leonardo DiCaprio!

…Well, I thought it was funny.
