King Imu VS Rocks Pirates is happening!
Well, Imu & Saturn VS Davy Tennant D. Xebec, Edward Newgate, and Kaido Smith to be more accurate. But that fight’s setup at the very end. Let’s talk about what happened elsewhere in this chapter.

Seriously. Just a lot of running around and off-screen battles. If I didn’t read this for free, I’d demand my money back and a free pumpkin spice latte!
…Um, Garp finally noticed the hundreds of dead civilian bodies spread across the island. I guess that’s the reason he decided not to be a Navy Admiral, as to not be directly under the Celestial Dragons’ control. Great idea, Garp! Too bad entire civilizations on unaffiliated World Government islands are still dying in Human Hunts and you’re basically letting it happen. But, it’s okay, Y’all. Because even though Garp’s complacent, he feels bad about all the mass murdering and genocide. Ugh!
There’s still the chance Garp is the one who creates SWORD but again, what’s his endgame?
We learn Kaido stole his devil fruit from Big Mom instead to her “giving” it to him like Big Mom once said. Is it a retcon? Probably. Do I care either way? Sorta. It would be nice if Oda was more honest with his story narrative. It’s bad enough we gotta deal with Oda-sama constantly blue balling his audience with shadowed future characters and dripping lore out like its in an upside-down bottle of molasses. Now, we can’t even trust the little information he gives us.
Dude, it’s been decades. Just finish the story already! Yeah, I’m cranky. Where’s my bottle!
I’m interested in learning how Eris escapes with Teech. Will they find Kuma and get bitch-slapped away or will Eris find another way off Hell Valley?
Monkey D. Teenybop Dragon’s gonna stuff Baby Shanks into a treasure chest at some point for the Roger Pirates to take. But, what about Buggy? I’m still waiting for his origin. Is he a member of the Davy Clan picked up by Roger? It’s either that or one of Roger’s ex-girlfriends dumped him on the Oro Jackson then ran away. As Bell Biv DeVoe once said: Never Trust A Big Butt And A Smile.
This was an okay chapter! Sure, it’s chaotic at God Valley, but I’m more interested in the fate of Xebec and the break-up of the Rock Pirates. I’m also wondering why Oda seems to be planning on showing Imu fighting Rocks when he’s currently attacking Elbaph. Is it to build-up Imu’s threat by seeing the secret king take down one of the strongest pirates in the One Piece world? Or will we see Imu’s true form: Disney’s Phantom Blot! Hold on, Xebec! The Mickey Mouse Pirates are on the way!
