All roads lead to God Valley.
If, by roads you mean this flashback.
Shanks and Shamrock were born on God Valley. Interesting. No doubt it’s there where the Roger Pirates found Shanks hidden in a chest. I’m no oracle, but it’s safe to say the twins’ Mom tried to save her sons from either extermination from the Celestial Dragons or from Daddy Garling taking the babies to live in Sacred Marijoa with the rest of the evil douche rulers.
Besides booty, what else did Garling find at God Valley?
Whatever it is, he believes Imu would be interested, so that crosses out reality tv and country music. My guess, Garling either discovered a Road Ponegliff or something related to Joy Boy. Maybe God Valley’s where the OG pirate was laid to rest after dying.
Could that be how Imu eventually got Joy Boy’s straw hat? Hmm…
Gotta say, I’m fully on Team Rocks’ side when it comes to defeating the Celestial Dragons. Rocks knows the World Government’s evil. Too bad he couldn’t convince Harald of that. When the Rocks Pirates implode, I wonder if Rocks will seek Harald’s help one last time. It’ll be a bit of a long shot considering Harald needs him dead, but maybe ole Xebec has one final card to play. You know, the Fake-My-Death Card.
…God Valley. …God Nika. …Roger Pirates. …Roger’s Straw Hat …Joy Boy’s Straw Hat.
Theory Time: Gol. D. Roger modeled his hat after Joy Boy. Learns about the Ponegliffs from Rocks or whoever, then decides to spend the rest of his pirate career looking for answers to what happened to him, leading Roger to discover Laugh Tale and learn the true history of the world.
Boom! Slam dunk! Roger’s goal of finding Laugh Tale will start on God Valley! You’re welcome, internet.
Should I talk about the Shakky stuff? No. Moving on.
Gecko Moria was a member of the Kozuki Clan? Is that why he beefed with Kaido in the past? Hmm…
But wait! Why is Oda bringing this up now? Is this all an elaborate way to learn Moria’s not really dead and have him join Cross Guild? Really not sure where this is going, Y’All.
This was an okay chapter! It had some nice moments with learning more about God Valley, but the Pirate Island stuff was meh and Harald’s fight with Rocks wasn’t all that interesting either. Get to God Valley already! I’ll even settle for Hidden Valley. My chickpea garden salad with organic croutons could use some blue cheese dressing.
