It’s the penultimate episode and our heroes are locked in an epic battle with the fate of the universe on the line. Gee? I wonder if someone’s gonna die?
Yes. The answer’s yes.
Can you guess who? It’s gotta be someone the audience knows and loves deeply BUT not someone too important as to generate backlash and fake internet rage. You know what? Let’s just skip the “love” and go with someone whose been a part of the series for awhile and won’t be missed.
Armand. It’s time to go, buddy.
That’s right. King Armand of Sadida uses the energy boosting power of the Eliasphere in order to defeat the Necros invading his country. What a chad (Kids still use the term “chad”, right?)!
Also, Yugo, Goultard, and Master Joris run through the pretty-in-pink portal into Necroworld to save Nora and end Toross Mordal’s goal of sucking everyone in the universe…of their Wakfu—of course. Anything more than that is just taking a victory lap.
And, that’s it.
Seriously, it was a fighty-fight episode. What do you expect? It’s low on the plot but high on the visual spectacle that is cartoon characters beating the snot out of each other. Great episode. Just not a lot happened to analyze.
That said, with Armand dead, it’s up to Amalia to lead her people as queen. That’s gonna be interesting to see in a couple of years (Thank you Wakfu fans for recently funding season five!). I’m gonna miss Amalia and Armand’s interactions. I loved their sibling relationship. Sure, they could be petty and annoying to each other. But, despite all of the jealously, hating each other’s partners, and bad breath—they were family and stood by each other, mostly.
Overall, a great battle episode with cute moments sprinkled in from our heroes. Next time, it’s the final battle to save Nora from one of the biggest bads who ever badded in Wakfu. It’s gonna be a whopper of an episode and (temporary) series finale. Don’t miss it.
Seriously, don’t. The entire series is official uploaded on YouTube. Watch it!
This weeks Wakfu Award goes to Ruel for being unnecessary to the story. What did the Eliasphere’s power boost even do to him? Lower his A1c? What. Ever!
