The Celestial Dragons are gearing up for the final war!
After Dr. Vegapunk Stella revealed a secret group wanting to destroy the world, Monkey D. Dragon and the rest of the Revolutionary Army begin perparing for all-out war against the World Government. Turns out, the Celestial Dragons are doing the exact same thing.
Going by what Gunko and Sommers said in this chapter, they want Elbaph’s warriors on their side during the inevitable final battle, whether Warland’s citizens want to or not. Hence, why the Holy Knights are kidnapping Elbaph’s kids. Just take the kids as hostages and Elbaph’s adults will do whatever the Celestial Dragons want. Simple, yet effective. Also evil. Very VERY evil.
This all confirms most, if not all, Celestial Dragons with higher status know the truth about the world. Or, at least, they know enough that they have to work to maintain their godly status and that the world will indeed be flooded at some point. And, they need to make sure it happens, no matter what.
Holy Knights also seem to be given the gift of regeneration by King Imu. Interesting. Why do you need giants on your side if you got fighters who can’t die? My Achilles’ heel senses are tingling! There’s got to be a weakness to the Celestial Dragon’s regeneration. Question is: Will the Straw Hats figure it out in this arc or later?
Brook. How did he know about the Holy Knights? Could Brook’s home country been the site of a Native Hunting Competition? Hmm…
At this point, it looks like the only ones strong enough to take on the Holy Knights are the Monster Trio, Loki, Dorry, Brogy, and Gaban. And seeing as Luffy, Sanji, Zoro, are in the Underworld with a chained Loki, it won’t be them, for the moment. Will we see Gaban step up? Or could Franky be a dark horse contender along with Lilith and Bonney?
Probably not.
This is One Piece. There’s a high chance the Monster Trio will hear Sommer’s broadcast then travel back to Sun World and steal the spotlight. Buncha glory hogs! Give my Robin a rocket launcher and four valves of pepper spray and she’d get the job done in no time!
This was a good chapter! The Holy Knights are starting to get their hands dirty, with them either taking out or distracting anyone strong enough to stop them. Tensions are raising higher than ever. Wait! Sommers mentioned King Harald. Are we getting a flashback next chapter? Place your bets now!
