Wakfu: The Animated Series [Season 4 Episode 11 Review]

[Author’s Note: Watch Wakfu: The Animated Series for free on Ankama’s official YouTube channel!]

I was not expecting to see the funniest moment of the season during this episode!

Yugo putting Amalia’s horny butt on standby was glorious! Ha!

Look. I don’t hate Amalia as a character, but she’s got to calm the hell down when it comes to Yugo. Last season, she’s all ready to ride Oropo’s dick JUST because he looks like a grown-up Yugo. Never mind the guy kidnapped her pregnant BEST FRIEND and her son. Never mind he’s clearly the bad guy there to be stopped. Amalia immediately trusts the Big Bad of last season just because he’s hot. I’m surprised Amalia wasn’t slipping on the large vine she’s riding because she probably uses it every night while thinking about Oropo.

Fortunately, Yugo’s head’s in the game and totally focused on defeating the Necros. That’s what this episode was about: Yugo reuniting with the Brotherhood of the Tofu in order to save the world…again.

Lay off the onions

Of course, the Percedal Family mistaking Adult Yugo for Oropo was a treat to see. They’re all on board for the final battle. If not for anything but using it as a distraction from thinking about the traveling Flopin.

Ruel’s subplot was good this episode. I know. I’m shocked too! And it’s all because Ruel received character development. You see, he had finally tracked down Arpagone. But, instead of confronting her and trying to get his money back, Ruel realized just how much of a difference his money is making in helping the less fortunate. Good on you, Ruel!

Although, I’d still ask Arpagone to return a few million karmas. A guy’s got to eat. And sleep. And play PS5 in a five-star hotel overlooking a beautiful beach on a private island. You know, just the bare necessities.

King Toross and his dead army officially begin their invasion of The World of Twelve by invading the Sadida Kingdom (King Toross did attack Brakmar first, but I guess he got bored and left). The Brotherhood of the Tofu’s assembled at Sadida’s Tree of Life. And, the Eliatrope Goddess is…getting the hell out of Dodge.

But, hey! At least she put up a magic barrier around the Tree of Life before she dipped out. That’s something. Of course, creating a giant portal leading to deep space so our heroes could yeet the Necros into it would’ve been better but what do I know? I’m just a hipster blogger.

Good episode. It did what it was supposed to do: Set the stage for the final battle. I’m looking forward to the next episode. More so given what Yugo said in this episode about sharing the power of the Eliasphere with the Brotherhood so as to not turn to ash like poor Qilby. Super Saiyan Percedal Family incoming? Let’s hope so!

Where the white women at?!

This week’s Wakfu Award goes to Ruel—no. Sorry. Force of habit. Um…Armant? Nah. He was a dick to Yugo but it’s understandable. Hmm…sorry Amalia. This week’s award goes to you for drooling over your boyfriend’s glow-up while your KINGDOM’S BEING INVADED BY LIFE DRAINING ZOMBIES. Thank goodness the Necros don’t all look like Chris Hemsworth. Amalia would immediately hand Toross the keys to Sadida Kingdom, along with her phone number.
