Oda just low-keyed dropped the oldest “man-made” structure ever seen in the manga.
THREE-thousand years old! What’s a building that ancient doing in Elbaph? And could it be related to why the Holy Knights want Elbaph on their side? And maybe that mysterious reason is also why the World Government doesn’t just blow up the island like it did with Lulusia? Hmm… There’s definitely more going on here that we’re lead to believe.
I love seeing Jinbe, Brook, Nami, and Usopp trying to help. Especially, Jinbe and Brook. Their battle/life experience is really coming in clutch in pinpointing what needs to be done and who could be at the root of all of this chaos. Even, Usopp’s trying to be brave. Good for you, Usopp! Let’s see how long it lasts (I give it two chapters before he’s freaking out).
Gonna give props to Oda for showing how well the Holy Knights work together. It’s so easy portraying evil groups as aggressive and undermining each other. Glad Oda went the sensible route, showing that they are indeed a team and united over their perceived superiority over all other living beings. They’re “Gods” so they treat each other with respect while everyone else is trash compared to them. It’s a nice touch, so to speak.
The Giant Pirates are back in action, taking down living nightmares. And with Gaban, no less! Interesting. You know how this works. When it looks like the heroes stand a chance, something crazy happens. I would say that “something” is Loki, but he’s too injured to do anything. Unless… activating his devil fruit heals him. Hmm…
This was a good chapter! Got a little world-building while seeing the good guys rally to save the day. Gunko likes “New World”? Isn’t that Brook’s song? Uh-oh! Brook better watch his back or he’ll get thrown in a trunk and shipped to Marijoa along with the kids. It won’t be so bad. I heard the Celestial Dragons locked up Hootie & the Blowfish too. As least you won’t be alone, Brook.
