Peace? That’s no fun!
It takes chapters like this to remind me just how chaotic Luffy really his, wanting Elbaph to be a warrior nation instead of peaceful. What a jerk! No wonder he’s a pirate. Next time I see him I’m snitching to the Navy.
Biblo the Owl. Is it a creature like Zunesha? Meaning, has it been around since the Void Century? Won’t be surprised if it’s true. Putting a lore pin in that until later in the arc.
Got confirmation Collun’s dad is a former human pirate. Scopper Gaban? A former pirate who’s powerful and had a reason to hide on a non World Government affiliated island like Elbaph? Yep, it’s him. Trust me. When have I ever let you down? Well, let you down this year?

Bonney and Lilith are looking for residency status on Elbaph. And while they’re at it, they can move into background character status. Your arc’s over. Oda will call you for the plot if he needs ya.

Thinking about it, the Elbaph arc is the perfect chance for Franky to invent a smaller transport vehicle made from the Adam Tree. An aircraft using island clouds, maybe?
Shanks Clone/Brother/Robot and Mystery Lady are looking for Loki. No doubt wanting to free him in exchange for the disgraced prince killing Luffy. So…why not just blast Elbaph off the face of the planet with Uranus? Shh…Oda doesn’t want you thinking about that.
While Robin, Chopper, and Franky do other things, the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates go to the feast. Weird seeing a feast happen at the beginning of an arc. It’s gotta be either interrupted or mostly skipped off-panel since we’ll get another one most likely at the end of the arc.
The chapter ends with Luffy meeting Ja Rule—erm—Jarul, Village Chief and oldest living giant at 408 years old. I wonder if he brought Ashanti with him?

This was an okay chapter, but I’m just here for the main plot. I hope it’s starting soon. Ole Redgeek just wants more lore. And nachos. Definitely more nachos!
