Luffy’s gonna free Loki, isn’t he?
Obviously Luffy’s been tricked by Loki into helping him escape. Loki even mentions in a previous chapter that the key to his chains is located somewhere in the Elbaph village.
It makes sense Luffy got duped given Loki’s also referred to as the God of Mischief. A Trickster God, if you will. Yep, ole Luffy’s been Gum-Gum Bamboozled.
I’m interested in seeing if most or all of the giants will turn on the Straw Hat Pirates if Luffy does indeed free Loki. Either way, Loki is bringing harsh conflict, violent Sun God battles, and a world-ending Ragnarök. Yay!
Usopp’s on Elbaph, Y’all. Great…I guess. I’m gonna wait and see if he does something interesting before I get excited. I thought Wano would give Zoro more depth but no. Egghead giving Franky more focus and interesting things to do? Nah. Let’s see if Oda’s going go 0-3 on character focused arcs.
Did you catch that silhouette of some dude who looks like the guy Crocus was talking with on a cover page?
So, we got the Underworld, Sun World, and Astral World. Hmm… Is the Astral level so high it’s permanently night there? Is that where something crazy is located? Like some ancient technology or creatures? Can’t wait to see it.
About island clouds: Are they all man-made? The thought came to me reading this chapter. At first I assumed they were a natural occurrence because the One Piece world is so gosh darn wacky but now I’m starting to think there’s more to them (I guess Dr. Vegapunk producing them was a clue I just ignored). I’m gonna put a pin in it until more is revealed about them down the road (or in the sky).
This was a decent chapter! There’s not much else to say except the Straw Hats and Thousand Sunny are all back together at the Elbaph village and we’re still in the calm-before-the-storm portion of the arc. Saul’s coming. Gaban’s coming. Loki’s coming. Kid’s coming? Lots of exciting stuff is about to happen soon. Good setup chapter, Oda. Now, about my idea for you writing the script to the next MCU Thor movie…
