Iron Giant? More like Glass Joe.
Just one itty bitty hit from a monstrously large pig demon was enough to down the Iron Giant. What I jobber! How the guy managed to get into that MultiVersus game I’ll never know. In any case, Dr. Vegapunk’s message was finally stopped, leaving us to wonder what he had to say about the D people. It was probably something like they have the power to change the world or are prone to addiction so shouldn’t drink alcohol. Vegapunk’s a doctor; a diagnosis is to be expected.
Blackbeard was listening to the broadcast! But we never saw a reaction from Shanks or Mihawk. Hmm… Is not showing their reaction be implied proof of the two secretly being blood related to the Celestial Dragons, as thus already knew the world was sinking?
And what about Edison? Looks like he’s screwed—along with the Giant Pirates. Don’t forget, their ship’s damaged. And if they can’t fix it, there’s no way they’re fitting on the Thousand Sunny. Let’s hope Franky can somehow keep their ship afloat or the Giant Pirates’ comeback tour is gonna end faster than a gluten-free dieter’s willpower when trapped inside a Krispy Kreme.
I wonder what Smoker’s dragging along behind him on his bike? For that matter, are Sengoku and Tsuru headed for the Navy hospital too? Wouldn’t be surprised if they’re all gathering to receive Koby’s report in person and figure out what to do about Garp.
X Drake is alive. Sure… Okay, I guess.
Shouldn’t be much Egghead left. Considering we’re due to see Admiral Kizaru again and the Thousand Sunny about to set sail back on the sea, I’ll give this arc another three or four chapters at most unless we get a flashback showing how Vegapunk Stella and/or Punk Records knew and prepared for the World Government’s arrival. Hopefully, it’s sooner rather than later. I love the lore and all, but I’m ready for the next big thing.
This was a good chapter. No surprise the World Government eventually stopped the transmission but we learned so much info it doesn’t matter. It’s gonna be interesting how the Five Elders do damage control considering the entire world heard the broadcast. But, as long as they have the Mother Flame, any country that steps out of line is toast— including Elbaph! Geez! And just when I’d finished buying a condo there. Guess I could answer that roommate ad Dragon put out. Sure, the place could be attacked by the Navy at any time, but rent’s good and I’ll never have to worry about Dragon being noisy.
