Dr. Vegapunk’s about to go full Wendy Williams on Joyboy, the first pirate. Joyboy, the main character during the events of the Void Century. Joyboy, who has a connection to the Ancient Civilization. And, somehow, all of this connects to the sea level rising. Hmm…

Vegapunk said the earthquake wasn’t a natural phenomenon. Then someone or something caused it, right? Someone or something linked to the Void Century. King Im? Maybe. Or…

What if the earthquake and rising sea level is being caused by an invention created during the Void Century? An invention powered by the Mother Flame? No, not Uranus (At least I think not). I doubt that’s the only machine powered by a Mother Flame. I’m talking about something else that’s raising the sea level. Yes! I’m a genius!

But… If it’s another machine, why is the sea level changing now? Okay! Maybe it is just Uranus. Either way, I’m betting the culprit is an ancient machine.

Im and the Celestial Dragons want to flood the world? I bet they know full well about the sea rising. I doubt it’s a coinencidence they’re home is on the Red Line after all (I’m guessing a CD isn’t told the true history until they reach a certain age, explaining why Saint Shalria didn’t know what was going on). If that’s true, then why? To clense the world of “insects” as they like to call everyone else? Yeah, if Im’s gonna be one of the final villains, he has to go big or go home. Flooding the planet is certainly high on the uber bad guy deed list.

Luffy’s all about the freedom that comes from being a pirate. I’m betting that’s a big reason why Joyboy became a pirate. The Ancient Civilization probably kept to themselves, assigned everyone a job from an early age, and took things too seriously. Joyboy was a rebel, Y’all. The James Dean of One Piece. *SIGH!* James Dean was the Judd Nelson of the 1950’s. What? Judd’s the Cole Sprouse of the 1980’s! WHAT? Cole’s—Oh, never mind.

Nice to know Team Robin is listening to Vegapunk’s broadcast. Can’t wait to see Robin’s reaction. And, remember, Vegapunk doesn’t know the full story. It’s gonna be up to Robin and others to figure out the rest.

This was a good chapter! I like that we, along with most of the One Piece world, are getting Void Century lore. I wonder how much we’ll get before York cuts the transmission? I, at least, want the name of the Ancient Civilization’s island (Laugh Tale?) and confirmation they were the D. people. Proof of Joyboy’s identity would be nice too. His address and phone number. Maybe his credit card number while Vegapunk’s at it. What?! I’m not gonna use it…on much. I was thinking of getting an electric bike and need some dough. And it’s not like Joyboy’s using it. Geez! You all are so damn selfish!
