Time to play Guess The Clone!
Is it CP0’s Stussy? Ah! I won! Yay! Stussy is indeed confirmed to be the first successful clone experiment. I guess OG Stussy (Miss Buckin/Bakkin, most likely the unidentified female member of MADS) cloned herself. Have you noticed all the clones we’ve seen so far are of powerful individuals? More on that later.
Is Stussy the “ally” Dr. Vegapunk called for help last chapter? I’d be hard for the CP0 agent to secretly answer a Den-Den Mushi call with Rob Lucci and Kaku nearby. For now, I’d say it wasn’t her. So, then… Why is she helping Dr. Vegapunk? Or is she? Is Stussy’s goal something or someONE in Dr. Vegapunk’s lab? If true, it makes sense why she doesn’t want the building destroyed.
And don’t forget about the traitor inside the lab. Are they and Stussy working together? Hmm… Probably. I doubt Stussy’s putting herself in danger without one heck of a good reason. I’m talking endgame stuff, Y’All. …What if OG Miss Buckingham Stussy never gave up on the Rocks Pirates’ goals? And what if she needs the captain of her old crew to realize those goals? Was Clone Stussy ordered to retrieve/protect the clone of Rocks D. Xebec?! And not just any clone. A clone with all the memories of the original Xebec intact. The ultimate clone! Just putting it out there.
There’s more. I heard an interesting theory Jewelry Bonney could be Big Mom’s clone! I know, I know. It’s easy pointing clone fingers at every character after Stussy’s revelation, but why was Bonney hanging out at Dr. Vegapunk’s lab as a kid? Why did Kuma go to such lengths to hide the truth, whatever that is, from Bonney? To protect his reputation? Nah! It’s to protect Bonney from the truth of her origin. Maybe he didn’t want her to become a weapon for the World Government and made himself one instead? I smell another classic One Piece tragic flashback coming.
This was a great chapter! The Stussy reveal, Awakened Kaku, Kuma, and I didn’t even touch on how cool Bonney used her ability. She can age people into different versions of themselves. She’s tapping into the freaking multiverse! Gee, I wonder if she can age Kuma into a version that won’t die painfully while trying to reunite with his daughter? Oh, well. At least Kuma left Bonney a pair of pants in his will. She won’t have the love of her father, but she’ll at least have something to keep her legs warm in that cold ass lab.
