He’s here. He has gear. Get used to it!
I’m sitting here trying my best not to complain about how this entire chapter could’ve been condensed into half as many pages. Seriously, what happened? Deku arrived at U.A., All For Shigaraki taunted him, and Mirio calmed him down. That’s it. I’m so over this fight. And it’s supposed to be the biggest, most important battle in the series! Oh, well. At least the art’s good.
This was a decent chapter! Yeah, I’m ending it here. …What? You want more? Deku’s boring me. How’s that? The main protagonist is boring. At least Super Shiggy’s witty. His smack talk keeps me going. What’s Deku got? His super-powers and that’s it. That’s what’s most interesting about him. It’s like Horikoshi has stuff happen to Deku but it’s not making him… I don’t know… more intriguing? More bombastic? I should cheer the main character’s arrival, but I’m checking my watch, waiting for this slog of a fight to end. And again, it’s the final damn fight!
This was a decent chap— What now? …You want even more negativity? Fine. I hate Shigaraki being “saved”. Shigaraki should be his own villain just as much as Deku is his own hero. This decision to make Shigaraki a victim instead of the true final antagonist annoys me so much. But maybe it’s all a fake out. Maybe Shiggy will overcome AFO’s influence and be his own villain in the end. I can only hope. And bribe Horikoshi. Wonder if he takes Starbucks coupons?
This was a decent chapter! I’m not excited about this fight. I’ll give Horikoshi props for trying, but this Shiggy battle has gone on for too long and I’ve lost interest. Can we check in with Toga next time? Heck, I’ll take a Mineta arc, just get me out of U.A.
