Horikoshi does it again. And not in a good way.
Crust. Star And Stripe. And, now, Edgeshot. Horikoshi just can’t stop killing heroes before they’re properly developed. Sure, Edgeshot’s been around, but did you know he was good friends with Best Jeanist since high school until this chapter? Did the two ever reference their past or joke/talk in a way showing they’re lifelong pals? Nope. It’s just thrown in at the last second. And poor Midnight had some development, but what did that get her? Off-screened killed. Yeah, I haven’t forgotten. Why are you so against giving pro heroes their proper due, Horikoshi? I-I just don’t get it.
So, Bakugo’s gonna survive. Sure…whatever. I will admit the longer he stayed dead, the longer I believed he’d stay that way. But in the end, Dynamight’s plot armor rolled a critical hit, and he’s coming back. McBoom Boom better not rejoin the fight. Bakugo should be out of the fight for the rest of the arc, period. You hear me, Horkoshi? Don’t have him team up with Deku! Don’t you dare do it!

We have confirmation Ujiko did indeed reverse engineer the eraser bullet sample Shigaraki stole from Overhaul. All For One’s on the Eri Rewind Express with no sign of stopping. Makes you wonder why he didn’t just absorb the quirk through the sample and gain Eri’s Rewind for himself. Can he do that? If not, Hori needs to explain why he can’t. Man, the writing in this series is driving me crazy, y’all! Horikoshi, take a nap, buddy. You need it!

This was an okay chapter! Edgeshot’s sacrifice feels lame considering we barely know the character. All For One’s Hail Mary play has me interested. Can’t wait to see where that goes. How will Endeavor stop AFO? Who knows? Maybe Ms. Joke will come out of nowhere and sacrifice herself or something. Here, Hori. Take my pillow and some hot cocoa.
