First Luffy, now Zoro.
Time for the Straw Hat crew’s top swordsman to put king’s haki into his attacks, just like his captain. And just like with Luffy, this automatically makes Zoro a top-tier fighter. He’s following Monkey D. Luffy climb to the main stage. Once he beats King, only the best of the best will be worthy of his time.
It’s a Zoro backstory buffet. Let’s eat! We learn the blacksmith who created Wado Ichimonji and Enma founded Zoro’s village and was Kuina’s grandpa! Interesting, huh? Makes you think just what Wano laws Shimotsuki Kozaburo broke and if he sailed the seas as a pirate with any other famous names we’ve heard of. I get the feeling we’ll learn more about Shimotsuki and any VIPs he met along the way one day.
The Lunarians. We’re getting more info on them bit by bit. Oda may throw a few more crumbs our way before the Wano Arc ends. Hmm… Maybe more than that if the Kozuki Clan stashed a few history ponegliffs away.
This was a good chapter! I love Straw Hat backstories and world building, and this chapter gave me both. We even get a reminder Luffy is Zoro’s best friend. Aww! Too bad Usopp is Luffy’s best friend. Whoopsie!

I think he was referring to Kuina when he said that.
