Well…I didn’t see that coming.
I knew “O’Clock” wasn’t a real vestige because of how casually he talked about violence and killing. I just dismissed it as further proof Number 6 was losing his high-speed mind. Guess what, kiddies? The O’Clock vestige is actually an All For One vestige! Dun-dun-duuuun!
And if AFO’s a vestige, then that means Number 6 currently possesses a copy of the All For One quirk! Yeah, AFO didn’t give No. 6 each of his quirks one at a time. No, he simply gave the artificial human a copy of his quirk with the others pre-installed. That’s incredible news! Why? Because AFO only gives his quirk away if it furthers his goal of obtaining a new body free from the effects of quirk singularity. “This experiment” had to be referring to No. 6 himself. How far can he push the limits of his body? That’s what AFO wants to know, and it looks like he’s gonna find out.
Assuming The Crawler isn’t brutally murdered and No. 6 instead reaches his limit, what happens then? Bye-bye No. 6, of course. If No. 6 using Overclock cannot defeat Koichi, there’s no why it’s beating All Might or the next One For All user. Overclock will be deemed useless, along with No. 6. And, since we don’t see No. 6 nor AFO/Super Shigaraki in the main series using Overclock then… Let’s just say I doubt No. 6 is working at a desk job somewhere in the present My Hero timeline.
How much longer is this fight gonna go? No. 6 is in his final form, the bomber villains are chasing Koichi, and No. 6’s brain is firing on all cylinders. Notice Koichi couldn’t hit any bomber villains with Shooty-Go-Kablam? That’s got to be his empathy holding him back. Soga, I think it’s time for you to help Koichi out. Maybe even the pro-heroes, but I think AFO’s gonna have No. 6 killed or teleported away right before they arrive.
This was a great chapter! The All For One reveal being the major reason I loved it so much. Now, I want to see No. 6’s backstory even more! And what about Knuckleduster? When’s he showing up? This fight might just go on for at least 5 or 6 more chapters. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I don’t know. Just give me more All For One in tight superhero spandex. Meow!
