Okay, after months of saying it, we’re reaching the final chapters of this arc.
This is it. Gigantomachia and the League of Villains have reached Shigaraki. The final 5? 10 chapters is starting, maybe? Of course, that’s not accounting for any twists and turns that may happen (We’ll get to that later). For now, let’s look at the line-up:
Villains: Shigaraki, Dabi, Spinner, Mr. Compress, Skeptic, and Gigantomachia.
Heroes: Deku, Endeavor, Shoto, Nejire, Ida, and Bakugo.
Yeah, I know. Bakugo isn’t in the final spread, but you know he’s gonna do something else before this is all over.
Since I already played my hand, let’s look at what the think the final showdown really is:
Villains: Shigaraki, Dabi, Spinner, Mr. Compress, Skeptic, and Gigantomachia.
Heroes: Deku, Endeavor, Shoto, Nejire, Ida, Bakugo, Best Jeanist, Wash, and the Wild Wild Pussycats.
Best Jeanist is a given and we still haven’t seen Wash and the Pussycats since Shiggy’s initial attack. Now would be the perfect time for them to show up.

Hm? Shoto and Dabi. Those two haven’t met since the Summer Camp Arc. This will be interesting. Shoto will probably have to defend the injured Endeavor from his Burnt Big Bro. But, what about my Tartarus theory? Dabi will never have a better chance at breaking Stain out than right now. So, will he ditch the League? Nope, not yet at least. Dabi can still pull off the Tartarus breakout as long as it’s done before the heroes recover. I’m just not sure it’s gonna happen in this arc anymore.
Uravity VS Toga. That was a good fight. I hope the anime extends it. Okay, so, Toga got the answer she wanted. It wasn’t clear but my guess is she’s come to the conclusion (based on what Uravity said) that if she chooses to live the way she does (doing what she wants) then bad things will still happen. Toga must accept that and move on. That’s why I think she was tearing up. She was allowing herself to mourn for Twice, understanding that he was an unfortunate consequence to them living the way they do.
Basically, Himiko Toga got her resolve back. That’s probably why she took out several knives after reaching her epiphany. She was about to go in for the kill against Uravity, again, realizing taking the blood of those she loves is what she wants to do and is willing to do it no matter what happens. And, no way is she bottling up her feeling like her asshole parents made her do for years. So, it’s one path she’s got and one path she’s gonna take.
So, does Toga have to love someone in order to use their quirk? Not sure. Maybe she tried since the My Villain Arc and couldn’t, thereby coming to that conclusion? Who knows? We’ll have to wait and see on that one.

This was a good chapter. The Toga/Uravity fight seemed a bit forced at first, but I think both Toga and Uravity are better characters from it and I’m looking forward to what both women do in the future. As for the final battle, that should be a treat to see. I’m especially looking forward to Shiggy getting his ass kicked and AFO saying I told you so over and over in his head. Thank goodness the voices in my head aren’t so petty.

I figure Dabi’s gonna drop in for a little family reunion- but I honestly see this being closer to 5 or 6 chapters. Although the idea of Best Jeanist trying to trap Machia would be something funny to watch. Mostly because I think it will fail and cause more destruction-creating a society that completely loses faith in the heroes. If a cornered Animal is dangerous; how dangerous would a beast be when it’s back’s against the wall?

I don’t think that matters too much. If Freddy’s already trying to kill you in your sleep, you aren’t too worried about making him want to kill you more.
