The good news is Aizawa took down that giant villain!

I seriously thought he was no match for Garvey but I was completely wrong. It was a hard fight, but using his wits and quirk, Shota pulled out an impossible win by keeping Garvey’s focus set on him and knocking his attacking balls in the air and away from civilians.
Yep. Everything worked out fine in the end. What a great chapter!
What’s the bad news, you say? Why do you wanna know that?! Let’s just end it here, okay? Come on. Please? Ugh, fine! Here’s the bad news:

Shirakumo is dead.
In fact, he died last freaking chapter, y’all! Him talking to Aizawa through the radio gourd was all in Aizawa’s head. I was hoping we’d see Shirakumo leave U.A., not die damn it! We even saw a sheet draped over his body with blood leaking out his skull. He’s mega dead.
So, what happens now? Well, there’s this little page from the main series:

I used to think Nejire was talking about Shirakumo, but it was probably Aizawa all along! Easy to guess he becomes disillusioned at becoming a hero until Present Mic and Midnight knock some sense back into him. Now we know for sure (It was stated in the MHA databook that came out in Japan recently.) the reason Aizawa’s so hard on his students is because of Shirakumo dying. Ouch.

A good chapter. Sad, but good. I’m really looking forward to seeing how badly Aizawa acts up after losing one of his closest friends and how exactly Present Mic and Midnight snap him out of his funk. So long, Shirakumo. I’ll miss you but I’m sure you’ll see Aizawa again one day, through steamy hentai doujins.
