Quirk Singularity.
It’s been a thing throughout the entire series but people rarely talk about it.
In an operating room, Ujiko gets ready to put Shigaraki under the knife, or laser, or whatever it is he’s gonna do bring out Shiggy’s full power. No, that’s wrong. He’s already at full power. Actually, Shigaraki wants to go PLUS ULTRA! Oh, the irony. Anyway, as strong as Shiggy is right now, he’s smart enough to know it’s still not enough to beat Japan’s heroes. Especially since Re-Destro survived their fight and his arm got damaged from using all his power. That’s where Ujiko, probably the most knowledgable person on quirks in the country or world, comes in.
So, back to Quirk Singularity. Ujiko explained the theory to Shigaraki. Basically, quirks are getting more powerful but human physical bodies aren’t keeping up. That could evenually lead to people developing quirks so powerful they can’t control them and they destroy the world. Bummer. Ujiko also said there have been actual signs of Quirk Singularity (or QS as I’ll call it from now on) since the Fourth Generation. What kind of signs? You should know. We’ve all seen it since the beginning. Not counting One For All slowly growing so powerful it can destroy it’s host body there’s Todoroki whose quirk can hurt his body if he doesn’t regulate his temperature, Kaminari whose brain fries if he overuses his electric quirk and Mineta whose head gets bloody if he pulls out too many grape balls. Tsuyu getting sleepy in cold tempetures, Aizawa needing eye drops, the list goes on. One things for sure, Horikoshi’s had QS in mind since Day 1.

Okay, but what does this mean for All For One? Ujiko’s research was originally meant to help him, remember? It means AFO’s body would eventually be unable to handle newer, stronger quirks. Sure, he can try using a healing or regenerating quirk to off-set any physical damage, but even those can only do so much. AFO needed to find a way to safely use future quirks without destroying his body. Hm… If only there was a super strong quirk that could give him the physical power to withstand most attacks… Yeah, I’m talkin’ about One For All, y’all! AFO had to have come to the conclusion he needed that quirk to guarantee he’d be able to safely steal current and future quirks for generations to come. Too bad for him, it’s the one quirk in the world he can’t steal. Its owners have to give it to you and no one in that group is giving All For One anything more than a middle finger and toxic Twitter tweets.
Yep. One For All. Shigaraki knows of it now. And, it safe to say Ujiko told him Deku currently has it. Even if Shigaraki doesn’t have the All For One quirk, having the same quirk as All Might will ensure he doesn’t need to worry about damaging his body ever again. Will he need it after his surgery? Maybe. But, it won’t hurt having it just in case. Well, it’ll hurt Deku because he’ll probably threaten his family or Toshinari to get it then kill them all but you get what I’m saying. Could this be how Toshinari dies? Could Shigaraki hold him for hostage in exchange for Deku giving him One For All? Naturally, Toshinari won’t let Deku go through with it and will sacrifice himself. The scenario practically writes itself.

Endeavor reads more of Hawks’ message. You see, Hawks knows he doesn’t have all the intel needed to shut down the Paranormal Liberation Front and time’s running out. The only thing he can do is update the number one hero on everything he knows and suggest he works to train his interns in case the heroes fail. Endeavor, ever the professional, does just that. And since I doubt all this training will be for nothing, things are gonna get worse for the heroes before they get better.
A good chapter. Shiggy knows about One For All and we now understand why Hori put the Class A trio together for their internship. You know, those last several pages felt like a time skip is coming next chapter. How far? Hm. I’d say less than four months. We’re not hitting that destruction button for a while longer. There’s enough room for more training or a light-hearted arc or something before all hell breaks loose. Two months, I’ll say. We’re skipping to any point under that amount of time. That’s plenty enough time for Horikoshi to give me my Eri VS Kota fight. Kick his ass, Eri! You’re Deku’s number one fan, now prove it!
