I’m trying, Oda. I’m trying to like this arc, but I’m mostly going through the motions.

It’s not like I hate this arc. But, I don’t love it either. I’m more in love with parts of it and the idea of a Wano Arc. Is it the pacing? The Wano introduced characters? Um, maybe? I mean, the arc’s moving at a regular pace. Stuff’s happening. Unfortunately, I’m not interested enough in a lot of it. Again, I don’t hate it, I’m just kinda riding along.
Hm, Wano introduced characters? Who do I love? Well, there’s…erm…um…no one. Not one single Wano native character has caught my interest. I don’t hate them, Y’all! I just don’t love them. Keep in mind, I’m not talking about antagonistic characters. Queen is a delight and…well…maybe one of the Yakuza bosses will rub off on me. Oh, boy, I don’t like where this is going.

I can’t hate this arc. I just can’t! This is One Piece. One of my favorite manga series of all time. Sure, I stopped watching the anime but that’s only because the pacing is garbage. It needs to be a set number of episodes once a season each year to keep it from getting too close to the manga. See? That makes sense, right? I’m still a fan, damn it. Don’t judge me!
Look, Kaido and Big Mom are fighting (off-screen). Chopper did some doctor stuff (off-screen). Caribou wasn’t a total piece of crap this chapter. And, Queen was a hoot to watch. There. A bunch of great things about this chapter. I’m still a fan.
And, hey. Gyukimaru is probably taking weapons to give to the alliance. That’s something too. Not much of a theory because it’s fairly obvious but it’s still speculation. Who knows? Maybe Jack and King will grow some personalities later on.

This was a…chapter of One Piece. It was made by Oda and stuff was happening. And, I’m looking forward to more next week. Yep, I still like One Piece. Wait, like? I mean love. I love it! Always have, always will. Oh, man. Please let the next chapter be awesome.
